I still just don’t understand the whole rumored NDA/everyone getting told to shut up for a McCollum type name. Seems like Dolson put all his eggs in the Stevens, Donovan, Pearl, or similar level name basket. This is playing out eerily similar to 4 years ago. 

Yep another swing and a miss and get the settle hire. But at least Woodson got that 4th year

I think we do everything we can to get McCollum. The floor has to be a good basketball coach. If he is not able to recruit at a super high level that would be an anomaly at IU, especially with a monster payroll. Even if he can’t…I’m ready to play hard, smart basketball and I think that will produce what we are hoping for over the last few years. Looking around college basketball, it’s really not that hard to win 20 freaking games a year.

I’ve been vocal about not wanting Brownell, as have most, but if he makes at least the Sweet16 this year, doesn’t that soften your stance on him a little or won’t change? Piggyback, if he makes an Elite 8 or Final 4, does that help?

People using it as an excuse for Steven's.  All the made up stuff is for Steven's.  In reality there's been leaks mentioning names and likely one of those will be named.  There's no elaborate scheme just a normal coaching search.

NDAs are completely standard for any kind of hiring for a role like this, regardless of who the candidate is

Most of the "insiders" love the attention and the likes they receive.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Why would anyone with inside information post it on a message board?  They love feeling important and love how everyone holds on to their every word or post.

No it won't change he has made the tourney 30% of the time at Clemson. That's awful.

Most of the "insiders" love the attention and the likes they receive.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Why would anyone with inside information post it on a message board?  They love feeling important and love how everyone holds on to their every word or post.  

And most are always wrong in the end like four years ago.

no. "Sweet 16" is winning 2 games. One of those probably being Purdue. Why is that impressive?

Occam's razor says this is the correct answer, of course. 

I think the naming of Woodson last time has people extra nervous. He was such a stupid hire that people are naturally a little gun-shy this time around...
