Just so I’m clear, you’re the little kid in this metaphor?

I don’t even think we’ll land Stevens. Certainly hopeful for a name bigger than Brownell. I’d rather have a younger guy like McCollum or Huss over that. So no. But you and the others are the parents that when their kid has a dream and says they want to be a professional athlete rather than just cheering them on in their little league game you tell them their dream is stupid and they’ll never make it that far.

Style of play — whatever style maximizes efficiency with your current roster.  Tough, hard-nosed defense with a strong emphasis on rebounding.  And can consistently recruit at a high level.

Agreed. I think you have to adapt in today’s game. Maximize your roster each year and not necessarily rely on one specific style.

The more he posts the more he proves he is not an IU FAN.

Are we gonna stoop to the “nit a true fan” level in here like the intelligencia on the Facebook groups next? Come on….maybe the guy is a half glass empty type

Him saying that cig was not even our first hire is what i am talking about.

Dude is just perpetually angry that he is spouting things that are not true

Well, I think we can safely say you wouldn’t get someone considering Brownell a home run, right? Lol

I'd hope not.

But, even if it is a similarly uninspiring name, it will be spun as one.  Most of us won't buy it this time.

I continue to have a significant issue with the idea that a done deal has been completed with a coach currently under contract and coaching another team. I think it’s completely unrealistic for several reasons.

That's more believable than Brad Stevens even though literally every other place on the internet and real life say it's a fantasy.  But people here behind a keyboard, almost a half dozen now it seems, have inside info that contradicts ever other college basketball "reporter" in the country.

I’ve said it before, you don’t hire Brownell after firing Woodson. If you’re Dolson, you need an idea of who is available when firing a coach.

If Brownell was the guy, the Fire Scott Dolson thread will be very active.

Rightfully so. Dolson likely doesn’t survive the 4 year cycle if he hires Brownell.
