And you know I appreciate you, and by that logic I have to believe it’s been done the entire time, or it was over a while ago but Dolson has chosen to keep this as silent as possible. I’m fine with either, and wasn’t making a comment on his info, it’s just absurd to think Brad can’t make up his mind or Dolson somehow fumbled it now or didn’t agree to something— which I said I didn’t believe was true. 

 I have an incredibly hard time believing we wouldn’t essentially call Brads bluff and agree to whatever demands he would have made. I also don’t think someone who went from not coaching to coaching to front office is someone who needs this long to make up his mind. So it’s either been done, or it never was. I guess we could say it’s possible the president of the most storied franchise in the NBA is indecisive, but that’s not a jump I can believe. 

Maybe I’ve just talked myself back into it being done hahaha

He's Dolson's mouthpiece.  That's why when he wrote an article about mid major coaching options, everyone should have prepared themselves for this possibility.  Dolson could still pull a rabbit out of his hat, but I would just be prepared for McCollum at this point.

This group he took with him may have been the best core he ever put together.

Stirtz is a nice piece. If he can retain some of the guys on this roster and get some transfers from the programs with coaches people pine for over him - who also happen to praise him and have strong relationships with (McCasland at TTU, McDermott at A&M, Smart at Marquette)... you can see him having a serviceable roster in Y1. Still plenty of valid question marks/obvious risks. We'll see how quickly kids learn his system and if he's able to retain them / use the portal effectively. 

I'm comfortable with the risks personally. Excited to see what he can do with our NIL and HS recruiting. 

I cannot understand how anyone with the least bit of intellectual honestly could  read that article and the comments from D1 coaches on McCollum and continue shitting on the guy. All this pearl clutching about the stress and the fishbowl……lSomebody is getting a future hall of famer and I hope it’s the cream and crimson.

Yeah I’m not sure you’re understanding. Everything has been agreed to. There was no negotiation. He told us what he wanted and we made it happen. Some say he’s signed, some say he wanted to wait for Woodson to be done out of respect for a fellow NBA guy. I don’t know which is true the people who get that info are above me.

I guess I find this confusing. Why would it matter who Dolson is hiring? Isn't it possible that Dolson just wanted ALL of the leaks to stop.

Buzz ran a great set for an elevator screen for a shooter to hit it to go up 4 in OT which was an awesome set.   Not so good was when his player got the ball after a scramble and he proceeded to call a timeout right before his player hit a 3 that would have put them up 7.     I will take Buzz all day everyday

McCollum isn’t going to excite many people, me included. He’s a wait and see hire, but I’m kind of wait and see with anyone. We’ve been down this road before. So many off-season banners are hanging in Assembly Hall. D2 championships mean absolutely nothing to me as an Indiana fan, but if Dolson and whoever he is getting advice from think McCollum can get it done, I’ll be on board… until the Fire Ben McCollum thread pops up.

I don't think he is anywhere close to comparable with Archie in terms of ability or temperament.

After reading that article and seeing Shaka mentioned as a McCollum disciple, it is possible that Dolson or the search firm met with Shaka to learn from Shaka about McCollum?

Or maybe Shaka is a candidate.
