You watch more college ball than anyone and know there are numerous guys that can succeed at IU. Plenty of good coaches out there that could turn this thing around. Might not all be big names but there will grind their butts off. Problem is this fanbase has been through the wringer and most don’t care or want to grind to get back on top. They want it tomorrow and with NIL and other advantages IU gives you that a possibility however this thing has been going south forever and the last 9 years have been about as bad of stretch as this program has been. Nobody wanted or probably heard of McCasland at North Texas when I was talking about him years ago however now he is one of the top young coaches in the game that is probably going to be the next Texas coach. Nobody wanted Underwood and SF Austin way back in the day before he went to Oklahoma st and definitely nobody thought he would turn out being the home run hire he turned out to be for Illinois. Coaches are out there waiting for their opportunity at the next highest level it’s up to Dolson to block out all the outside noise and find him HoosierHoopster, sirhoosierlot, HoosierFan1994 and 2 others 5

If it’s Collins, that will be the most underwhelming hire of this whole debacle. Why do we as fans want to settle? sorry if I come off shitty, I just think we are trying to find ways guys could win when we need to find one that will. Trust in Dolson. We will have our whale here soon enough. I think we just need to stop listening to people that have randomly shown up to this site. I have run out of most of my Hopium. Does anyone else find it weird that we are hearing positive vibes from all the newcomers but not from the posters we trust? The only Hopium I have left is that the equation remains the same. Somebody that can coach + Metric****ton of money = Happy IU fans. IU Prof, cybergates and IU Faithful 3

Stuhoo Posted March 10 Posted March 10 25 minutes ago, Demo said: To whom is he referring? Kelsey grew up a stone cold IU fan. From Cincinnati and wanted to be Steve Alford. But it looks like he has a substantial buyout, about $9 million it looks like. Pat Kelsey would be a home run of epic proportions. UL ain’t paying him all that much either; $2.3 m annually. Why on earth would he stay at Northwestern if this is the best he could hope for lol Better yet, if teams like IU or some relevant program thought he was better than this they'd have swooped in and offered him a contract that Northwestern couldn't match. But we've gone the up and comer route and they've all proven unable to handle being the head coach at Indiana. It's a risk and we have to stop that ****. Hire a proven winner who's been at big boy programs for the majority of their careers. I have not been in the McCollum camp but one big difference between him and Archie is McCollum has been a HC 15 years and has a good idea what wins. He would have to make some changes but you can supplement him with veteran advisors to help with that. Most up and comers have not been coaching very long. kottke, Hornsby, IUGRAD06 and 3 others 5 1
