2 hours ago he said he was being vetted…. What changed?

IMG_7793.jpeg

I'm just passing on what he's saying. Earlier he said, "IU/search firm is vetting Beard. It may go nowhere. It may go nowhere, but the chances are no longer zero. It maybe just 1%. But it's no longer zero."

Now he says that it already happened and that it was Thursday. In response to someone asking about the Coaching Search tweet that was shared, he said, "They are way behind. IU looking into Beard was Thursday. Looked into, moved on."

Feel free to take it up with him.

Respectfully, I don’t think Rabjohns knows much with this search. Based on who is in and who is out (from Rabjohns)…it’s sounds like it’s Brownell…now I do think Brownell has a chance but slim

I think this may be the one leak from Dolson’s side to prepare the fan base for a McCollum/Brownell hire.

If Goodman is right, and we aren't getting a top tier candidate, it might make sense to circle back on an idea someone floated last week...Greg Gard.

The only thing I think happened is the list from the search committee got back to the university and the university has started reaching out to people.  Not a ton of movement, but it really has just started.  More stuff will trickle out over the next week or two.  Anyone saying x, y, z was a legit candidate of Dolson’s before the previous couple of weeks was at best having fun.  The real leaks are coming.

With how it appears the coaching search is unraveling out of control, you would think Chris, RTZ, Jerry, etc...would chime in one way or another with what they've mostly recently have heard...but we're not getting that...why?...I think it's because this search is going how Scott Dolson wants it to...

Lol, no offense, but there’s nothing indicating the coaching search is unraveling out of control. There’s no indication of anything concerning the coaching search. Tweets and massage bard postings aren’t indications. I believe there are VERY  FEW people who know what stage the search is in or who’s contacted IU or who IU  has contacted. We shall eventually see who’s hired  and the only sure thing is some will be happy, some neutral, and some hating the hire.

Rabby is ridiculous

I don't disagree with either of you. Just sharing what he's saying.

If he was at the game yesterday speaking with donors he knew it was vetted, yesterday.  If he came out today with “it is being vetted” he is really out of the loop.

That was exactly the point of my post...

The mccollum love because he won at d2 still is baffling given our need to win big right away. I kind of wish cig never happened it really seems to have convinced some McCullough is a sure thing

That is the problem thinking we have to win big early. Do you want a quick fix or have long term stability.

1) Goodman is connected and credible.

2) His info today is extremely informative. Because the process of elimination is valuable!

McCollum, Brownell, Collins, McCasland, McDermott, Murray, Devries, Wade.

That’s eight.

Call me delusional all you want if you like, but I’m on the other side of the fence when it comes to Goodman.  We will soon find out.

Scott was good and kept it close to the vest. This isn’t floating anything to soften blows. This has been done for a bit.
