No different from match-up perspective but SEC is corrupt. Its actually UK getting sscrwed because of it more than us. Quote
LIHoosier Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Now its Vols in Charlotte vs VT. IU/pUKe still on Quote

Aaron Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Sounds to me Gator wanted this match-up weeks ago so Tennessee requested switch to SEC and got it. Very similar team from opponent perspective (FPI has us as a 4 pt favorite vs. 5) but lose the pizzazz of the rivalry. Still exciting. Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 For recruiting a win might look better. Since Tennessee has more recognition for football That’s what I was arguing a few weeks back. I think a win over UT is still flashier as a more historic SEC power? But beating UK would have been awesome. IUsafety, thebigweave, WayneFleekHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
HinnyHoosier Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 IU will get to see that SEC speed up close. Let’s hope they don’t get run out of the stadium. Be positive. Just once. For a single second of your existence. We beg of you. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Naturalhoosier, jk34, southsidehoosier and 4 others 7 Quote

Which was my point earlier that had someone asked our admin if they had a preference they might have suggested they wanted NY. I realize these things have a plan but as we have seen a couple times today, some teams or conferences may suggest something that matches up with their wishes more. TheWatShot Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 So first we were playing UK, then it was UT, then it was UK again, and now it's UT. The media is awesome. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Hell yeah! Stoked we’re in a January bowl in Florida. Hopefully, the families of all the Florida players will have a chance to watch them show out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners colonel06, IUsafety, Naturalhoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 1988 Peach Bowl: Tennessee 27, IU 22 REVENGE WILL BE OURS!!! I was in school then and the pain is still palpable (OK, not really. But that's what I'm going with!) JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Great bowl for the players and coaches. This isnt your mommas UT team but still will be a tough match up. colonel06 and IUsafety 2 Quote
Bobman1 Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 IU will get to see that SEC speed up close. Let’s hope they don’t get run out of the stadium. Handled KJ Hamler decently well and I’m sure every Tennessee coach would get on their knees to have him and some other Big Ten speed lined up wide. We’re literally going to be favorites, I’m hoping more so we run them out of the stadium than us not getting run out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Josh and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited to finally witness one of the most iconic fight songs in person...Rocky Top. NashvilleHoosier Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Anybody know if the Ticket Office plans on offering ticket/hotel packages? Not sure if that's a thing for bowl games. But as soon as it was announced I jumped on every site I could think of to check hotel availability there was virtually zero decent (and by decent, I mean close proximity to stadium/downtown) options at all. Not even like super expensive options. Just none. I'm hoping there's a slim chance that each school somehow got an allotment of hotel rooms to offer as part of a package. Quote
