Odd? I guess...but I can PM you emails that said they had no idea, the prevailing thought in the area was home would win out.I posted that several times but qualified it- even then- as "feel" in the area. Media certainly had me thinking it was IU/Vandy but my guy wasn't close enough for me to make that call...I admitted that the whole way through. He also guessed Vandy which I give him little credit for. He stated it as a guess. I'm not going to pretend to know what I don't.

In the spring, Romeo could sign here, could sign at Vandy, could sign at Kansas, could sign at none of the above and somewhere else.  Don't get too hung up on the recruiting.  With Phinisee, Anderson, Hunter, and Forrester, we have a top 15 class....and throw in Thompson who really is a 2018 signee given the redshirt.  Top 15 classes with coaches who can coach can do wonders.  We've seen what happens with top ten classes with coaches who couldn't.

Anyone, root for the guys who wear cream and crimson and want to be here and wish the ones who decide to go elsewhere luck -- unless they are playing the guys wearing cream and crimson.

We have a very good PG coming next year that came from purdue's back yard. And you know what......he really wants to play FOR indiana and that means a lot to me.

I don't think we've ever done well with Gary kids. Purdue always has. Didn't Winston lead GRoosevelt to a final four in the early 80's? Knight only came thru Gary to recruit I Thomas.

I don't think knight even bothered with Gary kids. They went to Purdue or out of state. It was a waste of time.

This is why I don't get emotionally involved in recruiting. There is a much higher chance of disappointment with low chance of high reward. I'm with the few others that choose to put there emotion into the team and the "kids" that want to come here. Is it cool when you get a big fish? Hell yeah but I get just as much from those "kids" being a guy that sits back and waits for them to actually sign as those of you who get caught up in this whirlwind of emotion following their every move. A win over the butt pirates is all I'm concerned with now. Players will come and go as they always have.

To quote the great Ricky Bobby “if you’re not first you’re last”. Doesn’t bother me at all he said we finished third or wherever. He chose Vandy for reasons he thought was best for him, good for him. We didn’t get him now on to the next. Once Archie gets 1-2 of his classes here I️ think we’re going to start seeing quick improvements. Noting against Creans guys but they’ve had 3-4 years of bad non fundamental basketball pounded in to them. IUs outlook for the future is still very bright in my eyes.

I️ hope we get a chance to play Vandy two years from now, and RP wipes the floor with Garland.

I️ have nothing against DG but I’m not gonna watch his games and root for him really. A lot of guys on the board are saying they wish Garland the best, they’ll root for him, and things of that matter, but I’m in the group probably that just doesn’t mind him. Good for him for finding his school, if he plays well, good for him, but I️ won’t be rooting for or against him at this point. Just another player in the way of our Hoosiers.

I'm excited for Phinisee, He's gonna have a chip on his shoulder after all the clamoring over Garland. I think he's gonna be great.
