SteelerHoosier Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 As easily as we can be 4-3 I can see us losing 4 of the next 5 given the issues that continue to plague, plague, plague, plague, and plague this program> Quote
jmsgws Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 For how many years have we been saying this? You could tell the first "practice" game of this year that this team was going to struggle with Turnovers and with Defesne. Nothing changed during the pre-season, so I see no reason to think it will magically change during the B1G season. Until we get turnovers and defense under control we will win a little over half our games in the league and eek into the tourney poised for an early exit. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
AZ Hoosier Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Haven't seen one yet... hopefully soon. Ought to be good for a laugh. http://www.insidethehall.com/2015/12/30/video-tom-crean-reacts-to-win-over-rutgers-2/ Over 11 minutes of fiction... Quote
JSHoosier Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I semi followed along at work and got disgusted that we were in a dogfight with friggin' RUTGERS. Sounds like there has been absolutely no improvement in the team since the beginning of the year. For the second year in a row. colonel06 1 Quote
Trish Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Bottom line: i don't see this team winning a championship, let alone even getting in the dance. I hope i'm wrong. But i'm sick of watching the same ole IU basketball. Same offense, same defense, same turnovers, same everything. I see us finishing around 8-10th in the B1G. ' DawgBawls 1 Quote

I wouldn't call that fiction. mamasa 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 God I can't wait to get back to fundamental basketball where everyone is content and we all don't have to come on here and see incessant bitching. That will be awesome! We rebounded 48% of our misses! OG and JMor had solid contributions in their limited minutes. It was also great to see Hartman step into and knock down his early threes. I think Hartman has another level that he can go to and actually make his teammates better. mdn82 1 Quote

Alford Bailey Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Can anyone explain the strength and conditioning guy up coaching like he is the head guy? Weird. Quote
KingPG21 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 First off--ANY road win in the Big Ten is a good win. We will take it---ugly and all. Unfortunately, we look a lot like last year's team. We can beat anybody at home but will struggle against everybody on the road. Until we get turnovers and defense under control we will win a little over half our games in the league and eek into the tourney poised for an early exit. I am tired of this. It's frustrating but that is where we are at this time. Not really. Rutgers is freaking awful and were missing guys. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 @JonRothstein Road wins in conference play are like free appetizers during Happy Hour: just take them and run. Hovadipo, IUsafety, scots07 and 1 other 4 Quote
colonel06 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Can anyone explain the strength and conditioning guy up coaching like he is the head guy? Weird. I saw Crean look out to the side several times when that guy was very emotional. I'm wondering myself if he has created a monster there so to speak. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

In my opinion any road win is gold. We are plus 1 in the road win column, 3 more road wins equals are total from last year in the B1G Hovadipo, IUsafety, mdn82 and 1 other 4 Quote
bleedhoosier Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 What a dumpster fire this year us. Are we heading back to the era when Tom Crean has to implore the Assembly Hall crowd to GET UP!?!? Lol, what a sham we are watching. Now watch the Hoosiers look like the number 1 team in the conference next game, lol Quote
TheWatShot Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I watched the game in a lobby today with other IU fans. Nobody really said anything, good or bad, everyone was just kind of there. It was weird; like we didn't really want to watch it but just sort of felt obligated to. I'm not sure I've seen a team that was more overdue for a change. Crean has just taken the fun out of everything. Alford Bailey and theriverpilot 2 Quote
coonhounds Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I am not on board with the take a road wins any way you can get them idea. I am glad we won but open your eyes. Instead of cutting turnovers we took them to a new level. Also we didn't stop Rutgers from getting to the rim they just plain missed alot of layups. This game gave most fans room for concern rather than optimism. In the end take it and move to Saturday and hope we look nothing like we did today. Str8Hoosiers 1 Quote

I wouldn't call that fiction. True... but the part about Rutgers being a tough opponent was, at least, a tremendous reach. 8bucks 1 Quote
JaybobHoosier Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Finally got to watch the game. I understand people being upset with the same mistakes, but there are a few ways to be optimistic. RoJo, Troy, TB, and NZ had really bad games. It was bad, but IU still won by 6 on the road in the Big10. Yes, Rutgers is bad, but this was a very sloppy game by the Hoosiers who still won on the road. Max, OG, and Hartman has the best performances, while Yogi played okay. This was all without JBJ. Trust me, I'm not making excuses, but this was a very sloppy game where our best players played bad. RoJo was due, he's been the most consistent of all the players. The team has to clean up the TO's and Yogi has to quit being so selfish. He missed our bigs a ton to get his own which resulted in Wild shots or a turnover. He does it every game, just wish he would quit. Also, Troy's butt should have been planted on the bench after his 2nd TO of the game. Wish Crean would enforce a no nonsense with TO's. Str8Hoosiers Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Watched late after work... What a horrible game... For a win it was very hard to watch AGAIN.... Was so happy and excited to watch a game without JBJ... Unfortunately Yogi did his best impersonation today... He was all about Yogi over the team and looked lost on defense half the time (which admittedly is only half as often as JBJ). Collin players a great game today, hitting the early 3s was huge, he is the only guy that passes the ball into the post on a consistent basis. He looks for post feeds like others look for 3s. Max played a great all around game today as well. NZ3 wasn't hitting but played with heart, OG, Juwan, Burton all played well in limited minutes. JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
