Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 18 Posted October 18 New winning streak starts in Ann Arbor vs the Wolverines (4-2) (1-2). The early line has us an 8.5-point favorite at Michigan, o/u 42.5. Fisch On The Call Live Stats Quote

Big Noon Kickoff is Fox's prime slot...but I'm too getting tired of early kick offs. Lets leave no doubt. Beat the brakes off of Michigan. Apparently they benched Underwood for their true freshman qb. After the last several games, I think our defense is now ahead of our offense. Offense needs to start to click. Lets go! Quote
BtownStrength Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Anybody who watched 2nd half of UM-PSU care to share how Carr looked? I assume much better than Underwood Quote

It was close, but he was down at the 1. I think Michigan has one of the statistically better defenses in the Big 10. rayl456, BtownStrength and skhoosier2 2 1 Quote

With some of the inconsistencies on offense, it would be alot to ask our defense to carry us yet again. Need Hoover to place the ball better and o-line to create some rushing lanes. 8bucks, str8baller and skhoosier2 3 Quote

AZ Hoosier Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I'm hoping that Shanahan has another option for 2nd down play... that run up the middle has failed us too many times. Get creative, and do something innovative on 2nd down. ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier, 68Hoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
skhoosier2 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Will be a difficult game. Carr was very comfortable running that offense and he’s mobile. Could end up seeing some of both QBs since we have trouble with mobile QBs and Bryce is a good runner. Their defense may be better than OSU. If our offensive woes continue, it’s going to be a long day. I’ll be in the stands for this one. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Artie86 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 UM's Coach Whittingham has stated that they "aren't going to show their hand" and already have a plan in place for their QB situation vs. IU. I bet a "dollar to a donut" that he plans on using them both throughout the game in certain situations.... jmo ALASKA HOOSIER and skhoosier2 2 Quote
KingPG21 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 My biggest concern these next two weeks is these are our 8th and 9th straight weeks playing competitive football. Thankfully we have avoided injury stuff a lot. Hopefully our guys hold up, cause we are just better across the board than both our next two opponents, whole rest of the schedule in general too skhoosier2 1 Quote
iu2win Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I'm bracing for another NEB type nail biter, but hoping this is the game where Hoover begins seeing the field better and hitting open receivers more consistently. Quote
rcbowla Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Michigan's defense is a problem. Both QB's can move and that creates another problem. I don't have the warm and fuzzies about this one. I had this as an L at the beginning of the season. Quote
TTT Posted October 19 Posted October 19 IU recipe this year was to run the ball complimented with the pass. Then, K. Martin injury plus Hoover not quite there yet. And offensive line quite not there yet either. Everything is close. And Looking at everyone across college football no one is a clear cut winner yet. Maybe. Miami, Georgia Sidenote: BY coach fake punt on his own like 30 yard line with the lead and still wins the game….That is some coaching….Wonder if he gives players an extra day off. IU defense knocking on the door to be really good to outstanding. 15-1 would not be too bad! Quote

IU's run-blocking, FG kicking and QB play have all been huge disappointments to me. How likely are any of them to improve this season? Miami & Georgia are pretty good and talented, but everyone looks so very beatable this year. I mean, Texas & Oregon are super talented, but are not very good teams. Michigan falls into this category too. I am sure their kid's rankings are great, but offensively they are miserable. Carr gave them a spark, but a lot of Penn St incompetence helped. Hopefully IU shows a complete team effort this week and spanks the Wolverines. Fake punt by BYU was the stupidest call I have seen in a while. Thrilled they still pulled it off. skhoosier2, ALASKA HOOSIER and TTT 3 Quote

Not sure why they would be singled out. str8baller, J34 and TTT 3 Quote
