AZ Hoosier Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Maybe the Huskers will be distracted by this: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/50127445/nebraska-cornhuskers-memorial-stadium-urinal-salesDFtf8361@3612 You've heard of buying your favorite team's merchandise or even a treasured season-ticket seat from an old stadium. But how about a urinal trough? That's the question Nebraska football is asking -- and reportedly has had answered, at least by a few fans. With Memorial Stadium in Lincoln set to undergo a $600 million renovation this coming offseason, the Cornhuskers announced Aug. 29 that they'd be selling off all sorts of soon-to-be removed items from their century-old home, including stadium seats, signs, suite items and, yes, urinals. Hovadipo Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Seeing some "windy conditions at Memorial Stadium favor Nebraska and their running QB" discourse make the rounds. Makes me think of 2019 when it was a windy day at Nebraska's Memorial Stadium and Peyton Ramsey's noodle arm threw for 350 on them. ETA: Nevermind the multitude of reasons that windy conditions to the point of not being able to throw (which, imo, is overblown) favors one of the best rushing offenses and defenses in the country. ETA II: I keep having thoughts on this. You're telling me that Nebraska has the advantage when BRYANT HAINES (and Gracie Bear) gets to load the box? We are laughing. skhoosier2, DChoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart and 1 other 4 Quote

Yes, and our QB has no experience with windy conditions having spent his entire HS and college careers playing in TEXAS and all. rayl456, Hovadipo and DChoosier 1 1 1 Quote

I was at that game! Even made it to the locker room. I don't love windy conditions, but not too worried about it deciding the game. Hovadipo, FortWayneHoosier, Home Jersey and 2 others 5 Quote

Hoosier987 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 In what world does windy conditions favor Nebraska? Do they not realize we have arguably the top 1, 2 RB back combo in the country and bar none, the best run defense/defensive line in the country. Windy conditions, would significantly favor us. It’s all over my Twitter feed. Plus I watched a couple idiots today predict Nebraska to win because of their explosive offense and rushing attack. I just laughed. Can Nebraska win? Sure. Does anything prevent us from running the ball down their throats? No. Does the wind affect a game plan? Possibly when we have to go into the wind. I have no idea why all of these Nebraska people think their run game is going to take it to us. Their QB running may give us issues but their RBs against our D front? LOL ok. I still think we have been holding back on tape to not give OSU too much to see yet. We have not done much stunting on D and our offense has been pretty basic up to this point. I think it’s close for a half then we wear them down and run it down their throats. Quote

Maryland is below North Texas in FPI by a decent amount. Their standards are just lower for a good win Quote
