I think Cignetti said that his demeanor the first year really wasn't who he was. He did what he thought was needed to wake IU's walking dead fanbase. Even the JMU guys said that wasn't what they were used to. I kinda miss the grumpy old man too, but I think he is gone and not coming back.

Cigs -27 O$$$$$$U - 21 Cig spends first half behind OSU bench staring directly at Day.

An effective running game is our best chance to make a game of it. Smith is not a factor if OSU doesn't have the ball. We absolutely have to limit their possessions. It's going to be a while before we can match them talent for talent.

We still have to get past Purdue in the bucket game. Suddenly they think they are somebody.

Purdue may have a pulse after all. Better that they think they have a chance coming to Bloomington so the inevitable beat down hurts that much worse.

It felt like Nebraska won everything but the score board which in the is all that matters.

I don't need to touch it. Tell me it's hot and I stay away from it.

Cignetti doesn't replace, he improves.

Be interesting to see how much we use him.

Cigs - 35 Other team in red - 13 Cignetti consults with the Bison before every play.

OSU should be #1. They gave the Texas game away. Being at home against them gives us a chance to beat them if we avoid turnovers and keep Smith relatively in check. I believe we are as good or better than them in the trenches so we'll see.

Playing 16 games last season actually set us back quite a bit. Cignetti has mentioned it several times. The physical toll on the players is immense. Football is different and more games is not better for the athletes.

For all the negatively that has surrounded her from segments of the faculty, she has been the saviour of the football program. I'd say that alone makes her tenure a resounding success.

Cigs -49 Rugger - 10 Cig goes to the locker room after the first penalty on IU and lets the Bison coach the rest of the game.

You are correct. He missed significant time at PSU last year after having, I think, a pretty good year before. I can't think of much that would keep him out two seasons and not be fixable with surgery.

Harris could have been the lock down corner we are missing since Ponds left. Have no idea what's wrong with him but wonder if it's not all physical.

I'm in a first c!@$$ seat on the hate all things Purdue train, but until they figure out how to pay-to-play in today's world they are a sinking ship. I don't necessarily like the current landscape, but it is reality and you either embrace it or you die.

I'm an Oregon fan tonight. Have hated USC since the Rose Bowl 1967

So Michigan is a two loss team now.

A lot of what happens with football teams (and basketball teams) comes down to key injuries. We've been fortunate the last couple of years. We are four games in and we are already down two thirds of our projected running back room. If we can withstand this until we get them back, maybe we will be stronger to finish the season. Hoover needs to be the guy he can be and lead us through the hard times. We are still undefeated and all of our goals are still in front of us.

That it happened on an uncalled late hit pisses me off even more.

Especially with NW getting the ball to start the half.

Cig's -42 Felines - 10 Cig holds pregame tryouts from the student section for help in the secondary.

He also said Marsh didn't start last week for a reason. He didn't comment further. To me at least, Cig seems different with this team than with the last two. I fully trust our coach but so far I don't see Hoover making the throws we are used to seeing.

Never thought I'd feel less than satisfied with a 38-0 IU football win. Yet here I am. How times have changed.
