No. 22 IUFB vs. Indiana State -- Friday, 9/12@6:30 on BTN

Cig scrubbed everything from last year. He wants all the attention and focus on this season. I think I remember someone saying that he ordered all the pictures in the hallway from last season taken down. That man's focus is like a laser beam. -

I think Cig gives the starters at least one more quarter. -

Almost?? I don't know what we can possibly learn from this game. -

Cig was chewing on Mendosa during the timeout. Then Mendosa throws a TD. -

I really hate college football on Friday nights. Friday nights should belong to high school kids. Greed has no limits. -
The top teams in our conference have had generations of good/great teams. There are generations of fans who have enjoyed that success. We are new to the party and don't have the depth of those other teams yet. So in a sense, our support is shallow comparatively. Last year was awesome but a significant number of IU fans haven't completely bought in. Continued success will change that over time.

As an ISU alum, we thank you for your support of our program. Sure we get our brains beat in but it sure pays well.

I remember Big George very well. The high school state finals game between Washington and Marion, both undefeated, was one of the best high school games I ever saw. I just wish he could have played at least one year under CBK. McGinnis was an athletic specimen who was way ahead of his time.

Woodson was a very good college player. Very smooth. That 1980 team had the pieces to contend for a national championship. Injuries to Wittman and Woodson derailed the season. It's probably true for a lot of programs, but IU has been positioned to make a run several times only to have key injuries take them out. I. Thomas, to me, is the best player I have ever seen at IU..

We have the alumni base to make that happen. They just need to see sustained success and the rewards that come with it. If we can't do that with Cignetti, then it can't be done at Indiana.

Exactly! We are not stacking 5* recruits in every class yet. We need the best high school guys we can get and then the best portal guys to fill needs. Fortunately, we have a head coach now with an excellent eye for undervalued players. I see us working our way up the talent ladder year over year.

At this point, what Cig wants I want.

No matter how this trip turned out, I would not be drawing any conclusions for how the season is going to go. It's a bunch of guys getting to know each other and this trip helped with that. The B1G is loaded with talent. How IU plays against that talent remains to be seen. Toughness and resiliency can only take a team so far. Talent and coaching matters. Both of those, in my opinion, remain to be seen. I'm looking for a team that plays smart and with all out effort from the the beginning until the end. If I see that, this upcoming season will be a success.

I thought the same thing, but just don't do that. Disrespectful on so many levels.
