Over the last three conference games these are UCLA's numbers that Coach Cig talked about in his presser.
Rushing for 233 yards a game.
AVG TOP: 36:30 minutes
Starting fast much like 2024 IUFB. Outscored opponents in the 1st half 58-17

Completely ignore their win loss record, up to the Northwestern loss. They are a different team and 3-0 in the conference since then.

Let's hope the 3 game sample size is large enough on film for our beloved Hoosiers to shut down their offense. Everything is new with this team.

Those stats while impressive are trending down.

42-38-20 Total Points

27-24-7 First half points

269-239-193 Rushing

39-36-33 TOP

If IU doesn’t at least solidly win this game with somewhat dominant performance…this season will have already peaked and tail off….. IU wins this game at least within a a touchdown of point spread and more than likely covers point spread.

I was going to say...The MD game was hardly impressive for either team. With that said, 4 weeks ago, we could've slept walked into this game and won. That's not the case anymore. The boys will need to be ready.

I’m really scratching my head over all the angst regarding this game.
Cig has proven that he’ll have his team ready to go. We’re playing at home. UCLA will be playing a game when they are normally just getting out of bed.

Too many are buying into the media loving the Bruins’ turnaround.

Trust in Cig. Trust in Fisher, Monds, Kamara and the rest of the lads.

Watch with the quiet confidence that comes with being the superior team. I know, this is new for us. Gotta start thinking and acting like the programs that have been there before.

I'm literally quoting Coach Cig's angst.

No such thing as an easy win in the Big Ten.

Except for Turdue :)

I agree. Although I strongly believe we will beat UCLA, at Maryland and at Penn State none of them are “sure things”.
Who knows how PSU will respond to their new coach, add in their talent and 100k fans and the game could be a challenge.  The bummer about PSU is that it has turned into a “ho hum win” or  “bad loss”.

Cant wait for Saturday and watching our D take care of Nico.

Got to laugh at UCLA fans posting, "And David pulled a stone from his bag and slung it . . . " not realizing this is not only a scripture but it is also a memorable line from the locker room scene in the movie HOOSIERS !!!  LOL

I like IUFB being compared to Goliath.  That’s a new experience.

Why in the holy blue hell is this thread not on the recently discussed topics list? We are a football school now, we need to start acting like it dadgummit.

IU fans are so happy and confident in the team we don't even have to talk about the game. We all know we're going to win by 2+ TDs, so why talk about it?

For basketball, we have to sort of talk ourselves into (or out of if you're a pessimist) the team, games, expectations. With IUFB it is known that we are dominant
