Dude is going to play in the NFL for 20 years no matter what. If he’s not a starter, he’s an elite backup.

I hope that if he goes to the Jets, Browns, or Raiders, he turns out like Darnold or Mayfield and kills it after leaving there.  Those 3 places really need a QB coach or a OFF Coordinator who knows what he is doing with him.  He will need that intelligence to survive those places.

After the few minutes of good-timing, Fernando and Urban Meyer (but especially Fernando) talk about technical reads, coverages, and defensive 'tells' in a way that I have seldom, if ever heard in an interview. Or, to quote Urban Meyer, "This is like the best sh!t I've ever heard." This interview should be a recruiting video for Whitmer and Cig; no QB that wants to be great could resist it.

This is the best behind the curtain stuff ever, presented by a Cal Berkeley School of Finance graduate with a next level brain to go with his talent. And you wonder why a guy like Mendoza is so incredibly good and a freshman or inexperienced QB has practically no chance in comparison? This also makes me realize just how viable Alberto is an an option for next year; he's been mentally wired to have the same split second high level processing.

In summary? Shoot this stuff directly into my veins. It. Is. AWESOME.

Fernando is as perfect a "face of the team" player there is. What's real crazy is I'd say Fisher isn't too far off. If I were a casual fan or fan of like Syracuse or TCU etc I'd be really rooting for this team.

I’ve got something pretty excellent for you guys. Someone just posted a YouTube video from inside Happy Valley Stadium and about 40 rows up during the catch and the subsequent review. The up to now unseen camera screenshots:

First; the Hoosier staff and players gather as the replay official analyzes at the review camera:

 

Next, the head official walks away from the camera to announce and the other official walks over to tell Cig:

AND FINALLY… Cig finds out the news from the secondary official before any crowd announcement is made or any of us know for sure. Look at Curt Cignetti’s reaction—coach got hops!:

That game meant more to him than he was letting on.  Being from Pittsburgh, he had to be loving that.
