It’s WAY, WAY too early to make predictions, based on two exhibition games,  but…….

Trent is going to play a lot more minutes this year than many predicted. Instead of occasional court time I think he will be our 6th or 7th man.

Yep. The biggest obstacle to Trent's PT this season is that he plays the same position as the coach's kid (and maybe our best player). But those two led the team in minutes tonight, 30 for Devries and 28 for Sisley. Maybe Trent is good enough that they just play together and figure out the fit later.

I fought all off season stating the obvious as I have with previous rosters over the years.  DeVries created this roster, he’s gonna have to figure out a way to make it work now.  Glad they get to see the deficiencies early and can try to figure things out in time to make the best of a not so great set of size and talent.

Encouraging.  Concerns persist for me. But we’ve got grit at least.

One thing I will take away from this is how this team responds to being down big early. Shots weren't falling, it sounds like they were getting manhandled down low, and they had foul trouble and it's just a meaningless exhibition game with very few fans there. I was actually glad that they were down like that because I wanted to know what they would do. The teams the last 8 years probably thrown in the towel and get blown out. These guys didn't. They not only found a way to stop the bleeding, they found a way to turn it into a blowout of their own. That kind of grit and confidence is something I think can be taken away from this trip. 

Now to see how the game goes on Monday, since the teams now have a bit of familiarity with each other.

I’d also like to know what kind of adjustments DeVries made. This was a striking turnaround from down big to dominant W.

I cannot remember the last time I saw a IU team be down over 20 points and then come back to win by over 20. I do believe it could be a sign of good coaching.

Undoubtedly is going to get early looks/ easily 15 mins... I do think Dorn will be playing the same spot/competing for some of the same mins. 

Depth is essential and Sisley has basically already shown he belongs.
