At one point you could have said Frazier shanked him and people would have believed it. jonz44, GloryDays, PartyintheVillas and 2 others 1 4 Quote

Frazier continued to trash IU after that--on social, above and beyond negative recruiting, etc. I'm not trying to change hearts and minds, but you've missed the point. Frazier never let go of what happened in 2006, and because of his inability to move on a decade and a half later, I'd prefer another coach. So many continue to comment on this without any knowledge of him and his vitriol for IU throughout the years. And if anyone of you were actually privy to the stuff he'd say, you all wouldn't want that person representing your program. It's like how all of you would take an offense--some slight, some major--to an obnoxious jerk spouting off about how terrible IU elsewhere in your life. Can you enlighten the rest of us what we aren’t privy to and what years these unforgivable offenses occurred? RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

It was a punk move from Frazer at the time and it was appropriate that a Gordon banked three beat them in their house. The Gordon family was also submitted to unnecessary abuse during that game that rises above a rivalry situation. Of course people can change and I don't know anything about what Frazer may have done on social media. But from what I saw at that game, I dont want him anywhere near IU basketball unless he has made amends. I think some on here don't understand how antagonist that situation was. I guess I'm saying don't dismiss the ops opinion without complete knowledge of the situation. Quote

And they didn't. But the stuff with the Gordon family was out of line. That has nothing to do with being soft. It has everything to do with sportsmanship and respecting the game. I don't care if Frazer is on the staff or not, it's not my call. Maybe he's a different guy now. Maybe not. I just know that the people and things that I don't like don't change much over the years. It's CDD's call to make and I'm good with whatever. Quote

Popular Post HoosierInParadise Posted March 22, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 22, 2025 Watched a few interviews and looked up some old tweets. I'm seeing where Chester Frazier has just wanted to move past this EG stuff. The only reason he is seemingly not able to move in from it is because no one will let him. He's mentioned a few times over the years that he would "bump" everyone like that and not just EG. Also, states in an interview a few years ago that he has no ill will towards EG. He sounds like a working professional who is serious about his work. If he wants to come recruit and work for IU, I think it's awesome. HoosierTrav, jonz44, iu eyedoc and 9 others 12 Quote

Calling somebody soft, then going to an extreme of "I am so sure you were perfect"...then calling somebody else immature?? Self awareness isn't your strong suit thebigweave 1 Quote

4iufourever Posted March 22, 2025 Posted March 22, 2025 I remember that Illinois game. I was in Iraq and had to wake up at 3-4am to watch it. It was one of 2-3 games that I got to watch that year. Great game and an even better finish. I’m glad I missed the season after it fell apart after the Sampson debacle.
