By the looks of it, DD touched down in Bloomington before the ink was even dry. It's been mentioned before that other coaches would crawl to Bloomington, whether that's true or not we will never know. We finally found one who would! Ron Howard voice over, "McCollum said no." I've been offered a couple of jobs where this was my answer when I didn't really want the job but wanted to keep my door open just in case I didn't get the job I really wanted. From The Daily Hoosier - 4-star class of 2025 forward Trent Sisley tells me he spoke to Darian DeVries about 30 minutes after the news of the hire broke. There's no change of plans here, he's a Hoosier. Pretty amazing Trent didn't have to initiate the call! dws Pagoda, go iu bb, Crazy about IU and 14 others 16 1 Quote

I don’t know, I think DD/BM are a couple of the best two up and coming coaches right now and last night was the first time I got to see a full game of Drake, and although I think they got bogged down a couple times, they were highly entertaining to watch and really had Missouri back on their heels for a lot of the game. skhoosier2, cthomas, HoosierAccipiter and 1 other 4 Quote

I get that, I just wondered iwhen the actual offer was actually made? I’m sure they asked if both wanted the job, I’m guessing when WVU missed Dolson jumped on cdd. Could be wrong. Maybe Scott prayed for a sign to show which one of the two was right choice? Chris007 1 Quote

Popular Post HoosierMatty Posted March 21, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 21, 2025 McCollum may be a better X's and O's coach than DeVries but he's still a very solid coach. And winning at a higher level program like Indiana there are other aspects such as recruiting the right level of talent. And the style of play can affect the level of recruits you get. I was definitely for McCollum but I had legitimate concerns about that. I feel comfortable at this point that DeVries may be a better fit. Hoosier DaDa Posted March 21, 2025 Posted March 21, 2025 I haven’t looked at this thread for over 24 hours and I’m sure it has already been discussed. Them WVU fans are fing butthurt. They think coach DD and Tucker ran as good as grift on WVU as Woody and Buckner did on IU. I went down a wormhole on a Reels comment section showing DD’s announcement presser. If half of what they say is true we got ourselves a slimy coach…and they say IU fans are crazy. Pagoda and Chris007 2 Quote

I view it this way man. If I was a coach and my son or any kid played 8 games due to an injury and was out an extended time……I would not let them come back. It does that kid a disservice.
