Yeah I’m with you on a lot of this. Appreciate you posting, we all want the same thing here.

A few were outright trolls, including RTZ as evidenced by his stuff today as the DeVries news was breaking. Funny enough Chris repeatedly went to bat for him and chastised me for “crapping on” RTZ a few days ago.

I think some are associated in some capacity with the University and get a lot of value from peddling that connection here. All well and good. But they are so so soooo far removed from actual decision-makers that the information they bring can be suspect. We can question it and shouldn’t be deemed trolls

Nobody with real information is coming here to post daily about what Dolson is thinking or which way the search is leaning. That’s why I’ll put more stock into someone sharing an isolated snippet where they run into someone in the know as opposed to daily musings that end up being just their opinion.

Just responding since you asked. It’s pretty clear after this cycle and the last one how to filter the information on this free message board.

I think some people have zero idea “inside” information is compiled.  Dolson doesn’t say chit to anyone, until he wants it published via a reporter.  People get info from his actions and tidbits.  He’ll talk to a money man and probably give only enough info to get the check.   Some people might pick up on that conversation.  Bits and pieces flow, and then the “did you hear” comes out.  Nobody is getting anything direct from Dolson, except maybe Mrs. Dolson — and that’s only when he needs to act like a big shot to get a little something. :)

DeVries will have hopefully 15ish successful years here then retire.

People will clamor for 63-year old Brad Stevens and lament us not signing him in 2025... or 2021...

RTZ posted that Trilly was wrong literally moments before it was confirmed by all the national outlets.

That's called trolling and gets called out when it's done by Isaac.

RTZ has a "reputation" so he gets a pass for being wrong? No, he's trolling.

He somehow never has time to be around the boards except to post gifs then do the whole tantrum thing...

People can mock it. Who cares.

5th choice, says it all. Such incompetence by Scott to let it fall apart like this. Is this guy a top 10 coach in the country? Top 20? Top 50? We need to start to realize what we are. Outdated. Old. Forgotten. Irrelevant. Just an embarrassing day for Indiana Basketball.

Again, if you thought IU was pulling a top 10 coach you just haven’t been paying attention to anything…especially the college basketball landscape the last several years.

You asked, so I just checked —when people came hard and nasty at you when you first started posting, I pmd you and said we would try to cool down the vitriol you were getting. Kinda mod-like, eh? And we did that.

You did not respond to that one and only message from me.

So let me ask one last time; why do you feel so strongly that Devries is a terrible choice?

Edit: I think @Uspshoosier just banned your @$$ so I won’t ever find out why you think Devries is terrible. Darn.
