Kansas has consistently nailed championship basketball hires for 40 years. I think IU fans might be the ones in for a rude awakening if they think Kansas will make a small time hire.

You aren’t.  Battle of the mid with a top budget.  Not sure that budget will keep up. This is a less than enthusiastic hire and the money has to make sense at some point.  Donors were desperate to help Woody.  Let’s see how this plays out.   We didn’t necessarily improve our stock.

I’m very excited for this hire. I think he has a chance to be really good. He lives, breaths and sleeps basketball. Plays an exciting style and will be able to recruit elite players. He seems like a dude. I think he’ll be known as D square to me. Go Hoosiers.

He was with Creighton from 2001-2018. That's when Dana Altman got it rolling through McDermott's first 6 seasons.

Doug McDermott just said on The Field of 68 that Darian DeVries was a key reason he committed to Creighton. Recruited him early and has a strong ability to pitch a program and get players to buy in.

How is Tucker’s shoulder healing up? Will it be ready for a rigorous B1G season?

How many other WVU players might come?

How many current players might stay? Reneau might really flourish as a devoted big man in a 1-in 4-out. Goode might get more shots up when he isn’t the prime focus outside 22’.

Will his current recruits follow? One is from VA so that might be a tough sell. 

Who will be retained from his current staff and who will be added?

What of the GM position?

How much NIL is he gonna have to play with?
