Really looking forward to the ND game. No outcome will surprise me but I expect a good game. Their fans think they will be able to bully us up front and run it down our throats. They may have some success doing that but I think that’s okay if we can generate a turnover or two… with Leonard as their QB, willing to bet we can take advantage of a few mistakes / mismatches in the passing game. Special teams killed us vs OSU. We need all three phases to be crisp the rest of the way from here. Said it yesterday but I really like Cignetti vs Freeman in terms of the game plan, schematic adjustments, and scenario management during the game.

ND fans are in for a surprise when they realize IUFB isn't just an offensive football team and they're much better on defense than perceived. ND's toughest D they played against this season was NIU. IUFB's is arguably better. 

NIU's D is really good believe it or not. They're passing D and 3rd down D is one of the best in the country.

Our run D is the best in the country. Folks just don't really talk about our D, which I prefer to keep it that way. 

Folks, defense wins championships. I really like our chances in the playoff.

Personally, I think the fanbase will quickly simmer down with over confidence because they'll have two weeks to "Google" what IUFB has accomplished as a whole. I just hope they still think our defense isn't that good. But it's starting to look like they're learning. 

Both of these teams are really good. This is going to be a battle. If we're able to stop the run and execute in all three phases of the game, I really really like our chances. If it's another O$U spot 14 from the punt team type game we'll have to rely on some plays from the Football Gods.

It’s actually sort of funny their fanbase would have to google our season to find out what a year we’re having.  I live squarely in SEC country down here in Georgia, and have far and away heard more chatter about IU being a legit, fundamental football team than anything about ND. Frankly people around the country have little reason to pay attention to ND with them not being in a conference. Doesn’t help that they’re considered a joke in postseason games. Didn’t they lose like 13 straight bowl games at one point? I hope they are feeling overly confident. Because my “inside sources” Down here are already telling me they’d rather play ND than a hungry and well coached IU team. And that’s coming from fans that talk down to the Bama and Clemsons of the world regularly.

I believe they have also lost 10 or 11 straight NY6 Bowl appearances and haven’t won a NY6 Bowl since the mid 90’s.
