We are in the race. He just visited Colorado and my understanding is that Colorado  got him to visit because they have a lot of minutes and a lot of $ to offer him. I still think we are in a good position, but he wants to take his time. I expect it to come down to IU vs Notre Dame just due to proximity to his home and where he played his first 4 years of college.

Remember - this is his first time going through a big time recruitment, so I am not surprised to see him taking his time. I think we could hear something this week.

IMO Goode and IU have been in indirect contact for some time and barring some last minute fly in the ointment he'll commit.  I use the phrase indirect contact because technically our staff isn't supposed to have any direct contact until a player is officially in the portal.  Lots of backdoor ways for negotiations to take place and circumvent that restriction.

Because IU needs a shooter off the bench and someone to space the floor when they inevitably go with one big. You’re not ever going to have an 8-9 man rotation all average double figures.

His role won’t be to score double figures. He will be brought in to shoot 3’s and space the floor for 15-20 min/game. 
 

his offensive rating last season was 124, very efficient on low usage.

Because he fills a role, and it appears to be that he is willing to play that role.  Who else is willing to play that role?

He actually fits what we're looking for at this point. A guy that is ok with 15 min a game that can shoot 3's effectively. Also a guy that WANTS to be a Hoosier (apparently).
