That would be the lineup but it’s hard to see CMW not getting a big starter so I believe IU asking him to come off the bench is probably accurate. Again, he is not going anywhere to come off the bench. Have to believe he would have other offers, but I want him. He's this years Dalton Knecht to me, just not quite as athletic BGVille Hoosierfan, Hoosierfanyuh and IH8PU 3 Quote

It might be, but Ballo is also a heck of a college player so I would have no issues adding him to the team if he wanted to come to IU. Also, he is a terrible free throw shooter so he will fit right in. Edited April 11, 2024 by hoosiersoxfan Golfman25 and hoosierdogg 2 Quote

I know it was against some weaker competition, but the tape on him shooting the ball doesn’t lie. The same problem I keep coming back to, not just with him but several others, is can CMW and his staff put these players in a position to take advantage of their skill sets? Rice and a Ballo type probably. A shooter as skilled as Humrichous, I have my doubts. thebigweave, JF87, BannerVille and 4 others 7 Quote

Jam Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Welcome the possibility of more bigs visiting. Going into the season with foul prone Malik is a bigger glaring whole than last years guards. Quote

But a lot of people have posted lots of lineups with that type of speculation. I’m pretty much in the camp of 1 of Galloway/Tucker will start plus a 2nd big, meaning we really only have one spot open: dynamic playmaking PG-type. Hopefully Rice is that guy. We can add depth but realistically the starting 5 will eat up the bulk of the minutes and determine our fate. Quote

tyappleg Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I hate the 2 big, clog the lane, line up as much as anybody, but if we're going to run it; you have to get a guy like Ballo in the portal. Would be a tremendous pick up for Woodson's system. Hoosierfanyuh, BGVille Hoosierfan, Alford Bailey and 1 other 4 Quote

Ballo can't do anything other than clog the paint. Hard pass for me, also because he would demand a huge NIL deal. I would prefer Ballo over Payne because he is a better rebounder and that is where we have struggled in the past. Chris007, RaceToTheTop and Home Jersey 3 Quote
