If you want to be a big boy program you have to big boy program things. We consistently don’t. We apparently will only spend the money for top tier talent when the coach has already revealed themselves to be incompetent. We lose one recruiting/budget battle and this dude just crashes out, lol Crimson and Cream, HinnyHoosier, Scotty R and 6 others 8 1 Quote

He's never won anything at any level to the point where I've said to myself, "We have to have that kid". Would have been fine with Mullins committing here, but I didn't lose any sleep when he chose UConn, just like I didn't lose any sleep when McRoberts chose Duke. Forgot about him the next day. I’ll go along with you ; he spurned IU for the trendy, shiny UConn and their a$$hole coach so byes bye and enjoy your time there. Hardwood83, SlammySammy and CSP 3 Quote

Now, we've had a coach for less than 2 weeks, one guy he probably thought wasn't good enough to overpay for goes somewhere else, and people lose their f'ing minds and want to drop bags again. I'm guessing Woodson and his family are realizing how fortunate they are to be rid of this nonsense. Not nearly as fortunate as we are... HoosierSadaseci, DSUMMITT, Huntnfreak and 1 other 4 Quote

Sticking your head in the sand and hoping doesn’t help For you, is being right about being bad a silver lining or just a crutch to keep oneself from completely losing their marbles? What it really looks like is an inability to cope with possible disappointment and therefore a way to be in a win-win. If the team sucks: "See? I was right, I was right! Go look at what I said!" If the team has success: "Well I'm happy to be wrong. Yay! I still get to enjoy a good team!" Don't take a crap on the fans who are willing to go out on a limb for their team. I used to be more interested in portal guys with two years left, instead of one, but have come to the conclusion that it doesn’t make any difference as players are increasingly moving pretty much every year. #1fanofafrin, Hoosier DaDa, Juwan Moye and 1 other 4 Quote

Once guys start committing you get momentum. Let's go If Enright is your starting PG (which I believe he can be ) then you need a lights out shooting 2 guard (yes Dix would fit perfectly but doesn’t seem to be happening) a well rounded scoring / shooting athletic wing . And a Big Man that can consistently get 12 and 9 to be a competitive Big Ten team in year 1 . Hopefully the dead period they get the chance to formally finalize and announce the staff and really zero in on guys in the portal who you need to put together a starting 5 then bench pieces . Gonna have to hit the ground running out of the dead period . Nice to have some good news feel a bit better but still a little shaky. Really thought we’d hit at least one HR before the April 7th date not sure Enright qualifies but it is better than nothing . Quote
