Wondered this too, believe he played a few minutes in an ISU loss to Drake 2/2/22 while DeVries coached.

Wondering if he might have more than one year of eligibility left; he played 2 at ETSU but he should have his JUCO year back due to the Pavia decision and he only played 4 games for ISU in ‘21-‘22. Feels like you could get a waiver there.

If you can get 17-18 ppg out of Tucker and another 13-14 out of your 2 guard you're going to want a guy like Enright facilitating and distributing the ball.

Whenever I see Tucker I automatically think of Bryson Tucker. No way we're getting 17-18 ppg from him. I doubt he even stays.

I need to recondition myself to think DeVries when I see Tucker. It'll be easier when the other Tucker is gone.

Well..  I think this kid starting is a bit much. Why wasn't he on DDv roster at WVU.... Furthermore the guards he had at WVU were significantly more athletes and bigger than Enright.

I don't think he's an elite athlete no, but also don't think he's a defensive liability either. I think his instincts and toughness make up for that.

Guards are king in college basketball so just from a roster building standpoint I'd rather have my point guard be the first or second best player on the team. Still hoping for someone like pack and this guy as a bench player

Portal isn’t even open yet and many good players won’t be in until after the second weekend. Based on DDV getting Small at WVU last year, I think he will prioritize a higher caliber guy than Enright. Like Enright off the bench, nice to have familiarity with his system on the roster if he does in fact come here.

Enright would be a great choice for any team.  My goodness, we want a steady, smart great locker room guy to anchor our team.   I hope he come to IU.    It's about time we use some basketball smarts when we build our team.

i don’t think we need to worry too much about not getting a star point guard because we take Enright. I think if last year taught us anything, the weight of the bag we are throwing around is absolutely going to get us a few star players. I trust this staff is going to build pieces that fit. I feel fully confident we will probably grab 5-6 players of Enright caliber.

i also feel very confident we will have Tucker and 2-3 additional “stars” from the portal. We are going to have one of the best rosters money can buy. How it’s put together and how it’s coached will be the variables because we’ve seen that grabbing three “stars” from the portal doesn’t mean anything.

It is pretty nice for us as fans and for DeVries that he automatically brings a stud with him just by having his son. 

It's a great start before you even have to do anything as a coach.

Supposedly decommited from Purdue because they wouldn't promise him the court time he wanted.  That said, he ended up at 17 minutes/game at BYU but his minutes were going down by the end of the year -- just 8 total minutes in his last two games.

I am quite sure that Catchings decommitted from Purdue because BYU is absolutely loaded with NIL and he got a significantly better offer than PU was going to give him.
