I could see Mgbako and Tucker on the right roster with the right coach being killers. Tucker can’t shoot the 3 but he can do a lot else. Get a coach that forces him to get to the rack and be a playmaker. Then Mgbako, he’s interesting. He can shoot it great in catch and shoot. He’s got a lot more weaknesses than we’d hope but get him in the stretch 4 position and get him set shots his efficiency goes way up. Defense should be better at the 4. He could be dangerous. We’ll see. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app I hope Tucker gives the next coach a chance. Hoosierfanyuh, OKHOOSIER, choosierred1 and 13 others 16

With Cupps maybe already done with Dayton. Guessing we won’t see Cupps in an IU uniform again, he’s at 4 games played, so he’s basically guaranteed a medical exemption for this season. Makes zero sense for him to come back and risk going through what XJ did to get his year. cybergates 1

Won’t be a final four contender by any means but it won’t be Crean year 1 either. Then build from there through both high school and portal recruiting. Chris007, go iu bb, Pagoda and 1 other 4
Capt. Crimson Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 I’m going to be honest. Of all the narratives that go around this one legitimately pisses me off. Clif is a tremendous human being that doesn’t take his job lightly. He studies and researches his job. He compares notes with other SC coaches. Tyme passing blame and others trying to make him the scapegoat in this mess is my least favorite thing of the season. This regime smeared Fife. Smeared Adam Howard. And now are trying to smear a man that has put his life into these kids and is probably one of the most positive things in their life. The whole notion that IU fans aren't patient is stupid. If fans see progress and the program developing, they'll be fine. Totally agree, they collapse at the first sign of adversity due to being a rudderless ship. They know our system is not constructed in a way that lends itself to comebacks. Sometimes they almost look frustrated at the lack of identity and structure. There’s a good team in these parts, they’ve all just been utterly and completely failed by this coaching staff. lillurk and tkbbn 2
CSP Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 How absolutely obvious is it that we don't prepare properly in the offseason? We are a dysfunctional **** show in our cohesiveness in the first 1/2 of every season it's incredible. CMW is unbelievably not like his mentor. "The will to prepare" tkbbn 1
