I don't see this happening to be honest. This will be so ugly and toxic I don't think he will be able to say those things. I think there is a chance those things happen when he retires here in a few weeks though

I still dont see him leaving on his own if we are below 500 in the big ten. There is nothing good he can say after failing two years in a row.

Yea I’m with you here. @Home Jersey said it a while back as well. I’m becoming more convinced this will be an ugly divorce. For the sake of the program and any remaining good will for Mike Woodson the player I hope it isn’t, but one need only look at how the last season ended.

MW has already shown himself to be petty and vindictive. I have a really hard time believing he graciously bows out. His ego will not allow it. FFS the guy has repeatedly referred to himself in the third person unironically. Nobody with an ounce of self awareness would act as he does. It certainly doesn’t bode well for how this ends. I’m guessing he has to be fired and he’s not going to go quietly. And the MW twitter burner group will be in full revolt against the program.. I almost hope he does the self aggrandizement on the way out, it would be less toxic than what I think is coming.

The donors can just completely close their pocket books and say “We gave him his second chance, no more money till he’s gone!”

It’s gonna be a $hit show for sure!

It pretty much has been for going on 4 years... just burn it down - full scorched earth on Woodson, Buckner and their minions. Absolutely no mercy.

Everybody better start shopping in bulk at Sam's Club and Costco for upset stomach medicines because you'll need them when he announces his exit full of self-congratulatory phrases.  I brought IU back to the table.  I got IU over the hump.  (mark my words he'll use that gd phrase).  His will be bad enough, but Dolson/Whitten will have to issue obligatory similar thank you for all you've done statements.  Stock up early.  Supplies will be limited in March.

He can make whatever noises he wants if he's gone.

I will be shocked if he is around next year and equally shocked if we are above .500 in the BT.  I’m guessing somewhere around 6-14 to 8-12.

I mean, it definitely appears that way.

Scathing is an understatement.

If we lose at home to Rugers and get blown out by PSU at the Palestra, things could get interesting in a hurry. I don't think that will happen, but if it does the noise will be deafening.

Hopefully this story gets some traction, and it is the vehicle that gets this clown removed.

I don't think there is really any good left. By his true fans comments and not leaving last year when he should have its now ugly. We owe him nothing. He has damaged the program and he is not interested in what's best for it. I am just fine with it being ugly.

Sure they can but he will still force dolson to fire. Don't be shocked if he uses the race card. He has proven to be arrogant and vindictive

He will prob be first or second team all SEC next year lmao.

IDK...I think you're halfway joking here but Carlyle looks like a major whiff on the scouting end. Certainly not as talented as he was made out to be, and that's from eye test alone...and I don't think it's going to take "a snap of the finger" and all of a sudden he's going to be the player he was touted to be. Maybe he can be, but it's going to take dedication and long hours....and unfortunately, we always seem to hear or think a player or multiple players are going to be really good...more often than not, it doesn't turn out to be that way. Maybe  the Bloomington night life plays a roll... see Ballo.

That's the question, when and if IU makes a move on Woodson...will he go out quietly? Remember, he has self anointed himself "The King of Indiana."
