This isn't really about money. Woodson has friends in high places, he's a former all-American, all those people think he should get a 4th year if you gave Archie a 4th year.
Yes he does and that's why when I saw the hire I knew we were stuck with him. This will not likely end well for him but I am sure his buddies will just blame somebody else.

This absolutely may be how he actually feels/thinks at the moment. It sounds like he's coming back for a 4th year. That said, when asked this kind of question, the current coach with several games left this season, has to say something along these lines. Lot of time for circumstances to change. Maybe I'm just in the denial stage of grief lol

Agreed! Just have to hope we keep losing but if he gets them over the hump we will go 6-0..............DWS

Coach Mike Woodson and Calbert Cheaney and the rest of the IU coaching staff led by Woodson may think they are doing a very good job working with young players.  They just have a couple bad breaks here and there.  They may feel just a couple more made shots, a made free throw, a rebound, one less turnover, and IU men’s basketball will turn around and we will do it.  Let’s go smoke a cigar and have a Schlitz malt liquor.

See.  All of them think they are doing a good job with honor in working with young people. Lol…enjoying all that feel good status and financial benefits.

Exactly their line of thinking.

He's completely delusional and this will get very ugly.  Mark my words.  It's sad but he absolutely never should've been hired in the first place.  It's all on Buckner.

His legacy as a player 40+ years ago will be completely overshadowed by his failures as head coach. When people think “Mike Woodson/IU basketball,” this is what they will remember.

He is totally delusional. Depressing for most of us but he is in LA LA land. Next year is not going to be pretty. Will be even worse when we have to watch Louisville make a great hire.
