I know this is over generalizing, but if the athletic department and administration don't care if we're terrible, why should I? Well put. That exactly sums up my feelings. I used to lose sleep after a loss, but not anymore! The Administration has taken the wind out of my sail, lol tkbbn and Deserthoozier 2

IUrocker Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I just wish this could be a matter of we know for a fact that Woodson will 100% be gotten rid of at the end of this season. Just makes rooting for the team a lot easier. I want the players to succeed, but I don’t want it to result in any chance he gets enough support to stay aboard. It’d be so great if something could come out mid season that he plans on “retiring” after this year so let’s root the team on and send him off on a good note. Otherwise, it’s hard for me to want to see success, because I don’t want him here anymore. Bad thing is, I don’t think he’s willing to part ways on his own so he’d probably have to be fired, which most likely isn’t going to happen until after the season….leaving us wondering if the results of the season will determine his fate. This time really does feel different though in terms of him actually being gone. There just seems to be way more out there now about the negativity he’s involved with and a ton more people finally realizing what’s going on and wanting him out. Plus the success of Cignetti ought to give Dolson the ammo he needs to make his move. tkbbn 1

Popular Post JimmerNoe Posted December 9, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2024 I can vouch as one of those who typically tunes in for every game and is normally heavily invested, but this season I have passively watch a few games in the background and checked box scores afterwards to see who played well. I just don’t want to invest any energy or my mood for the night because it feels like even when we win, we don’t look like a good basketball team and that just bums me out. I’ve tried to squint for the past few years to convince myself we might be a good team but watching one game with this team it just feels obvious it’s a system problem, and it doesn’t really matter what pieces we get. No I'm well aware there are many interested, hell I'd take the job honestly, and I'm even less qualified than Woody but I bet I could do better hahaha I just wasn't so sure on who would be a good fit AND who the administration would be seriously considering for the position. I pray for the May hire and McCollum does indeed look promising with a lot of potential but who else is there that could eventually lead us back to top level play? The fan base is restless and understandably agitated with our HC hiring decisions since Knight. I understand people want the position, but I'm looking at it from the lens of "Which ones from that list have the potential to take us to the top and which ones of those could we actually get?" May and McCollum so far potentially but who else? And if we don't get someone who can produce within a few years considering the cyclical nature of college ball then where does that leave us?
JimmerNoe Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 One of my Illinois buddies texted me last game at halftime “what the f*** is wrong with Indiana”. Based on the Luke Goode timeout in the Bahamas I have to imagine he is also thinking “what the f*** is wrong with you guys” All this to say, I think TJD covered it up, Ware made it look questionable, but this year the veil is gone and we just look terrible with a team full of All-Conference caliber players. It's hard to say for sure without knowing who Dolson is going to target after the top 3. If he doesn't need to go past those names then he won't. Based on conversations I don't think he'll make it past the top 3 unless he changes his top 3 but we won't know that for a bit. tkbbn, Chris007, hoosierfan6157 and 1 other 2 2
