I'm just assuming he won't be on the sideline on Saturday, but yes, letting him hang on for the remainder of the season is possible.

Can you spell T-O-X-I-C?

Did Trilly comment that if it was an NBA guy he wouldn’t hear about it, or was that what you took from his message? Is Trilly entertaining the thought of Brad? I feel like that could be very telling if he’s at least talking about it as such a plugged in person.

He said he wouldn't hear much about it if it was an NBA guy. That's what he was saying.

I am thinking the fans will show some love for Dusty....some because he is wanted as our next coach, some just because he was a part of the program....either way, gotta rub the Wood the wrong way....lets hope he at LEAST shakes hands with Dusty

If we get an announcement on literal NBA trade deadline day of retirement, I’m going to assume the other thing is happening lol

it would appear Dolson and administration really don’t want to see Saturday devolve into a toxic mess, which I am happy for. I know it’s a relatively unpopular opinion but curbing boos and we want Dusty nonsense as much as possible is the right thing to do for IU Basketball and the players. Let Woody have leave with his head up and put this sorry chapter to bed.

Agree.  Im positive the players hear all the noise too.   So - if he were to announce, the troops may actually rally a bit.

My first thought was that the timing of any announcement has to be done with consideration for letting the team know and allowing them to process it... but then again, how bad can it be? We're already on a 4-game losing streak and lost 6 of the last 7... just rip the band-aid off, Scott... Rip. It. Off.

I would assume the players would get a heads up before an announcement is made. Suppose that could be wrong but they are not oblivious to everything going on either.

Half the team is out of eligibility  next year anyways lol

good thing we got a $5mill + NIL budget to spend.  Should set up coach stevens very nicely :)

Take off the hat and there is a strong resemblance

My friends and I have been calling him Mr. Potato Head since he was coaching the Hawks.  The funniest was when he actually shaved his eyebrows off.

I agree, the "we want Dusty" chants would probably make Dusty cringe.  Not a good look.  He's fully invested in his team right now, and showing up Woodson isn't a good look.  I also doubt any coach, no matter who he will be, wants his name announced as our new coach while Woodson is still here if a retirement is announced.

I go to bed and wake up to Brad Stevens and Billy Donovan rumors being tossed around....did I time warp back to searches past or are we just playing the greatest hits again?!?!?!

Listened to the Torres podcast...says he thinks a lot of big names will want this job due to our NIL resources alone and its a more attractive job than people like to act like it is. Tosses out Stevens (says you have to make the call), Donovan (thinks he will be fired. Says if UK would of waited they could of had him), Beard (wants the job / Bob Knight stuff is no coincidence), May.
