IUBB vs. U of Indy (exhib) Sun., Oct. 29, 1:00, BTN+

It is a great pleasure to start the first GAME THREAD of the season!

The Division II University of Indianapolis men's basketball team was unanimously chosen as the 2023-24 GLVC preseason favorite, the league office announced on Wednesday. The Greyhounds went 26-5, 17-3 in conference in the 2022-23 season. The Greyhounds return GLVC Player of the Year, Kendrick Tchoua, and fellow unanimous First Team All-GLVC selection Jesse Bingham, who was also a member of the All-Defensive team.

This will be a test for a Hoosiers team with four new starters. There is no guarantee that we will win this one easily, and no real guarantee that we will win at all. Expect a struggle and a nervous, angry at times game thread.

Anybody know of a BTN replay yet? Was gonna get BTN+ again, but I won’t be home during either game so that won’t be worth it for me.

I graduated from U Indy (was University of Indianapolis when I was there, but was Indiana Central University before that).  They've had a nice run -- have had a number of D1 down transfers come in during the past couple of years -- including one from Vanderbilt.  Currently have one down transfer, Jarvis Walker, who transferred from Purdue Fort Wayne.  U of I will likely be better than 

Was a while ago, but U Indy beat Tennessee in an exhibition back in 2010 by 15 points in front of 16,000 Vols fans.

It's good to have a great test in an exhibition. But man if we lost... Would never hear the end of it.

Dont know if games are the same, but i missed the first half hour of HH on BTN+ and as soon as that was over, i was able to immediately restart it and watch it over again from the beginning.

No Kaleb Banks and obviously Newton is rehabbing. Banks could play, but unlikely.

BTW, our new/current walk-ons are a serious cut above from most walk-ons we have had in prior years.

Woodson said it in his media session this morning. He has a groin issue he's been dealing with for a couple weeks

Interesting that Woody was asked to name three or four guys that have been consistently good in practice and he named only Gallo and Mack. He later added Gabe to that group.

Also said all incident-related stuff for Mack is behind him and he will play.

Oh they'll be furious. You should see some of these saps on Twitter lol .... granted most of the people whining on Rabjohns posts today aren't IU fans, but man....we eat our own.

I think I am on the Trey Galloway breakout season train now. I've just heard way too much from various people from Woodson to the media/people who have been at practice. If he becomes a 10 point a game kind of scorer...Can't wait for Sunday.
