Wonder if he's thinking of Parker Stewart? He was in the car with X on the night he got busted --- but wasn't charged with anything.

but also not going to jump to conclusions, both are misdemeanor charges and he was quickly released. Sounds like he was somewhere he shouldn’t have been late late on a Sat night, guess we have to wait for the details, not thrilled but also not gonna overreact

Have a friend whose dad is close to several around the program, say to “let this one play out”…nothing serious, could have easily been avoided, and a learning opportunity for a young man. 

Interested to see how the police report flushes out with that, but thought I’d share.

Resisting charges are always interesting. They could be anything from a suspect actively putting up a fight as the cop tries to take them into custody -- to a suspect doing virtually nothing and a cop saying "Stop resisting" so they can get it recorded on bodycam and add it to the charges.

I got a version on private message from someone that wants to be anonymous. It comports with what you heard.

If what I heard from this source is true, it is  similar to the Trevion Williams incident at Purdue and is very much not a big deal.

If the version I heard is basically accurate? Think of it this way, if Xavier’s arrest, given he was sober, was about a 4/10 on the ‘big problem’ scale, this would be a 1/10.

Sources say the officer’s name was Thomas Allen and was overheard muttering “this will make them forget” at the scene.

Sounds about right. And we shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that the dumbest creature God put on this earth is the 18 to 21 year old boy. We learn eventually, but, man….

I am relieved to hear this, because based on everything I'd come to learn about MM, an arrest is TOTALLY out of character. His parents are Nigerian. They don't take shaming the family name lightly at all. 
 

Obviously nothing good happens when you're out that late, unless it's at Cook Hall. Hopefully that is the takeaway for Mack after some extra conditioning work from the staff. Maybe sit him for the Indy exhibition too.

There are, no doubt, quite a few people biting into an unripe persimmon this morning.

I was really smart back when I was 17. And nothing mattered...right?!

When I was 19, I found out just how smart I wasn't.  And, oh boy, it mattered greatly.

50+ years later...still wonder, really, how smart I am, and we are.  It still matters...especially for those youngsters.
