Hovadipo Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 McCulley’s full quote from the video is even worse. “I’m not sure why they’re……flip flopping”. Just complete chaotic nonsense from the guy that won’t take responsibility for putting his team in these absurd situations. thebigweave, BtownStrength and Stuhoo 2 1 Quote

HoosierFan1994 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 I get the buyout is too much, but honestly if this program keeps Tom Allen for another year I am afraid to see what IU football will look like in 2024 and beyond. I think they are better off firing him after this year...It sucks. I wasn't a Tom Allen fan at first. But 2019 and 2020 fooled me. Turns out, it was more so Kalen, Kane, and Penix. I know Indiana Football will never be able to compete for a B1G title..but you are telling me they can't be a consistent team that makes a bowl game? thebigweave 1 Quote

TTT Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Emotional psych. I suppose no matter how much money one makes….losing and losing to the point of not really being competitive at the level of competition required….eventually takes its toll mentally and emotionally and physically to the point not only is the team and individual psychic is amidst in confusion and chaos…but the head coach psychic is also amidst in hopelessness grinding out his contract with assistant coaches in the balance of do I stay or keep my eyes open and focus for future opportunities as time marches on to the next IU football coaching era. OGIUAndy Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Just heard this from a buddy of mine who knows someone who was close to the recruitment of a certain Indiana HS QB recruit going elsewhere. He said IU was his worst visit by a mile. Said they run practice like a middle school. "Completely disorganized sh*t show." If that's what in state recruits have to say, IU really needs to move on asap. thebigweave and go iu bb 2 Quote

Hornsby Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Allen took over an IUFB program that was in pretty good shape (for IU) with back to back bowl appearances. He has utterly torpedoed the program. He shouldn’t coach another game here. Dude owes everything to Penix and DeBoer. He is beyond awful. They may not win another game this year Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk Quote
cbp4iu Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 I saw somewhere on Twitter today…. That in 2022 IU made 34.3 mil in profit from athletics. Any credibility to that. Also if that’s the case… A buyout might not be as hard as it seems. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

IU_FanClub Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Would losing out do the trick? I have serious doubts we win another game. Rutgers becoming bowl eligible on our home field on homecoming this Saturday is going to be a real kick in the dick. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

There would have to be some sort of settlement. I would say even if he wins 4 games, the chances of him returning are slim. Recruiting is going to be impossible. The AD better be putting out feelers. WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 (edited) Wholesale changes needed but we might have to wait a year. None of it matters for IUFB, we will likely always be cellar dwellers. Edited October 21, 2023 by WayneFleekHoosier Quote
Hoosier987 Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 Allen has simply sunk this program. Unfortunately it’s his buy-out that might prevent him from being fired. This is simply embarrassing. Hoosierfan2017 and FWHoosier84 2 Quote
