I wish it was some amazing story but really it's just a combo of work being busy with students coming back, a family vacation to Hawaii, and having a senior in high school playing his last year of tennis. Which he had 22 matches in 29 days. But hopefully in the next week or two things will slow down.

I'm saying we will get Liam because I think he has expressed that to the staff, I think that really helps with Queen, and if we get him, then we Boogie. For the fall those are the only 3 possibilities. I'm hoping for all 3 but 2 would be a success. If we just get Liam, then we have some work to do in the spring or with the portal.

Good for you.  Hopefully the Hawaii vacation was prior to the devasting fire and I hope your senior has a fantastic end to his high school tennis career.

Not questioning what you are saying, but asking 'why?' What is the advantage of making a secret committment? I can see a few days or a week to set-up some kind of announcement or reveal (although not my thing.) But beyond that....what am I missing?

I think your correct he told the coaches he's going to be a Hoosier, now just waiting to set up his commitment video or however he's going to do it.

Anything can happen in recruiting as you know.   He wouldn’t be the first kid to tell a  staff he was committing and then not follow through.     Happens more than people realize.   Off the top of my head Ledlum from this last  transfer cycle did it to the IU staff.   Way back when Richardson that went to Cuse told Crean he was committing on his visit and ended up at Cuse.

No that was a different class.   Richardson was one of ius top target for 2016.   Staff was super confident after the visit because he told them he was going  to go to IU.

Definitely didn't help that he was in attendance at the carrier dome, to witness them beating us 69-52.

Good to hear.  Staff seems confident in landing all 3 or getting what they want in the portal.  While we have been good in the portal I would not want to count on that every year.  Hoping Woody's confidence in getting things done once at the table doesn't backfire.  Would sure be cool to have a narrow search and get most of your top targets.
