fwgreenway Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 Closing the commitment so fast by the coaching staff. Love the pick up. And he looks like he has a very strong body for so young. Welcome to IU! lillurk 1 Quote
Brooks Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 Seems like a kid who is proud to put on the IU uniform. Love this pickup. Looks like the hiring of coach Woody may be a lot better than most gave him credit for when he was announced. Go Hoosiers. Quote

Josh Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 I love it. Welcome Jakai! If we want to compete nationally we need to recruit nationally. Inside out doesn't work for any relevant program. I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring Mr Newton Hoosierfan2017 and BGleas 2 Quote

Banksyrules Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 The good thing from having a well established and well liked former NBA coach being our leader is that you have a little bit more faith that he knows what a good player looks like. Rankings be damned. thebigweave, Class of '66 Old Fart, cthomas and 3 others 6 Quote

Rankings be damned. I was thinking the same thing. He knows exactly what he is looking for in a player and how they will fit into how he wants to play. I'm not sure who does the ranking for the various services, but I would trust CMW's evaluation more than theirs. I also love that he is getting high quality kids as well and not taking a flier on on high risk players like a certain former coach did. Quote

American HoosierX Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 The first clip I watched I thought he was left-handed for about 30 seconds because he handled the ball so well with his left hand and finished left-handed as well. Josh, lillurk, HoosierHoopster and 1 other 4 Quote

They ranked him pretty hard on his bad AAU games and more on current standing than potential. Rivals ranked more based on his best games and his future potential. That’s why they are so different and he’s likely someplace in the middle of the 2 lillurk 1 Quote
