woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Keep Hunter and 2 of Lewis, Fife, Cheney, GuytonSent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk Quote
JSHoosier Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 On the one hand he wouldn't be bad advisor, and if it's non recruiting his issues may be mitigated. On the other he's 80 so he might have literally forgotten more about the game than most people would ever know. Quote
Shoes_N_Shorts Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Hunter Lewis/ Fife Adams Thats a rock solid staff. BtownStrength 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Would he stay within the parameters of what he was hired to do? Honestly, I'd be concerned with him trying to worm/weasel his way into a larger role and then do we start running afoul of the NCAA if he oversteps? I'm definitely against this idea. Feathery Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 I hope with Woodson’s reputation in NYC, that we get a good recruiter for that hotbed of talent. Pitino used to raid NYC, time for IU to take advantage of that recruiting ground. bird4par, Bobman1 and BtownStrength 3 Quote

Bobman1 Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Yes, Brown is old these days and there’s fair reason to question what his impact would be on IUBB, but I love that Dolson and Woodson are seeing this transition as a huge culture shift and one that represents an increased focus on the NBA within our own program. All the top programs, UK, Duke, KU, etc. seem to have much better NBA connects and a more professional culture surrounding their program. Nice to see IU finally realize that hard nosed, mid-major coaches who play by the rules won’t get it done anymore. str8baller Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Larry Brown’s turned around more teams than IU has failed coaches. I don’t know what he does at 80 freaking years old to help, but hot damn is the guy a basketball lifer. I kind of respect him trying to get back to the court one last time. Stuhoo Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 To be of real help at 80 would be a big outlier. T White 1 Quote
