8bucks Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Some of the looks Robert’s gave the team and I am going to assume Archie were the same looks I had watching at home. So he gets to stay lol Skrappy, Rookie33 and MemphisHoosier 2 1 Quote

In other news, Woody's page is up. https://iuhoosiers.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/coaches/mike-woodson/3122 Need to get an updated photo on there for CMW... but hey, anything's better than that Crean "snarl" on my IU poster circa 2011 :) Capt. Bobman1 Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Cliff potentially staying on is interesting. He's an Archie guy. Not sure how I feel about Cliff. Players were getting a lot stronger but also felt like we had as many injuries as anyone in the conference over the last few years.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Ryno6284, BGVille Hoosierfan and IU Scott 3 Quote

Bankshot Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 It seems, from the archives and elder lore, to be an indication of relative success, power, or quality as compared to other teams. I think they called it a "ranking". Papacap and go iu bb 2 Quote

I can't recall seeing more missed point blank shots and layups in all my years. go iu bb and T White 2 Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Cliff can go. I don't care. There is a specialty to basketball training. Its not about trying to get ripped outta your mind trying to be Mr. Universe. I don't care about all the instagram workouts. Need real results. Guys getting faster and faster. Jumping higher and higher. Stamina building. You don't need to look like LeBron James. go iu bb, Bobman1 and BGVille Hoosierfan 3 Quote

I don't remember many muscle pulls but I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hutch89, Hoosier Roots, Crimson and Cream and 4 others 7 Quote

They could've happened at practice or in the weight room. Crean had a problem with ankle and lower leg injuries in practice that seemed to mostly go away after Miller came in and abandoned the sand pit. For Miller it seems the common injuries outside of games has been back. There's also Phinisee's lower abdominal injury which could also have been from lifting. That's just speculation on my part as I have no insider info on how those injuries occurred. Regardless, other than the social media pictures you couldn't really see much of a difference in play. The players didn't seem stronger than many of their opponents and there wasn't a noticeable instead in quickness or athleticism over the last 4 years. I don't care if he goes, especially if Woodson can bring in someone from the NBA that specializes in basketball players rather than Marshall who was mostly football with some basketball and hockey players. Also have to hope Brunk’s back injury was totally unrelated to weightlifting programs or else that would be an awful indication. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Do the players lift during the season? If so, that's really stupid. During season it should be basketball in hand at all times almost, endurance, a lot of stretching. Most lifting to do would be maybe some bands. FightFor6 1 Quote

It’s not so much the intricacies of the offense, it’s the athletes, m shot makers, spacing, and players that can read and react. what I never understood from Archie is he was so predictable. He didn’t encourage transition. He strongly discouraged early shots even when open. He set up the actions the same way over and over and over. We never saw backcuts, give n gos, simple basketball plays. It was all fees the post or picknroll/pop over and over. Get someone moving off the ball. IU ran 32 so much......with no inside spacing on the two inside guys. Never understood that. Quote
