I get the same vibes as well. Dolson feels more approachable and connected to IU basketball.

When Zach Osterman asked about his budget for the next coach, Dolson's Mike went out.  I need to know this answer!  Anybody know?

Some of the questions being asked...woof. How are these guys professional sports journalists? Some are asking questions that require subjective answers. The art of talking to hear your own voice but convey nothing. I'm starting a new career as a sports journalist. First question: "Hi Mr Dolson. Do you think Indiana can be good at basketball again? I mean, REALL Good?"

I liked his answer to "when and how he talked to Archie Miller-paraphrased".

 

He handled that question brilliantly.

 

He also seems very confident.  Whoever he has his eyes on, he seems to be happy and confident.

We need this from our next coach, too. Someone who's conversational, approachable and down to Earth.

It went in and out, but I felt that the answer was "not limitless, but the money will be there for the right coach."

He basically said while there's not an unlimited budget they'll do whatever they have to do to get the right guy.

He said it’s not unlimited to income but likes to think the boosters would support a big name hire with money.
