Crews rode the Majerus wave. Ford followed Crews, had an early recruiting push, but was regressing and last year completely washed out. For SLU to be this good already is incredible. Even with what they lose, I am willing to bet they will get better the next couple years. They'll have a chance at those wins and titles, and to have their metrics place them in the top-25, which is rare for an A10 team. Good times ahead for SLU fans! And if that's the case I would definitely explore Schertz down the road if the job happens to be open in the next couple of years. But 18-13, 11-7 in the A-10 doesn't scream "hire me". Had he done what he did at ISU last year at SLU then I probably change my mind. They will lose the programs all-time leading scorer in Jimmerson and I wouldn't be shocked if Swope and/or Avila explored some better NIL opportunities for their senior season.

Popular Post LamarCheeks Posted March 11 Popular Post Posted March 11 That plane to Clemson has nothing to do with Brownell. It was to visit and old friend -- and to drop off his final check. His buyout is PAID IN FULL! LEO! (and LOL!) darB s'tI, Hollywood Mike Miranda, JustWinBaby and 5 others 1 7

Capt. Crimson Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Found this earlier this morning. This mystery plane is heading back to JVY later. Looks to be similar to the others (47 & 53), but flight history is just Opa Locka to JVY. N36HA Flight Tracking and History 11-Mar-2025 (KOPF-KJVY) - FlightAware

I would think you're also suspicious of McCollum, so that would be consistent; you would say he ought to win at such a level before he's considered. My point earlier was that if IU is entertaining McCollum, then Schertz should have stayed put, and found enough money to pay guys what they're getting at SLU. He does seem in a favorable place to win; I think SLU has some surprising resources. Would be interested to know whether someone is familiar with that landscape.

But you gotta admit, it's way more entertaining of a wait if we have these ups and downs of potential information leaks, even if they are only 5% or less true and factual. People thrive on hope....a chance (mixed in with some drama). The alternative kind of becomes a boring conversation about boring candidates. I have to agree, reality isn't that great. I'd rather pretend IU is getting a good coach instead of Mr. Mediocrity, Brad Brownell. That is sad and discouraging. HoosierInParadise 1
