Brownell's agent is trying to get him paid and/or raise his profile following the elite eight appearance. Zero shot he is under any serious consideration right now. He certainly could be if literally no one wants the job, but as of now, I don't think so. I imagine we will see several other names pop up the longer this goes that make zero sense. It happens every coaching search.

If it Steven’s I have a feeling Dolson has known it for a long time. The fiascos 4 years ago turned out to be a disaster. I just don’t see Dolson going blind into it this year. He wanted Woodson gone last year. So he’s had a year to plan this and work on the guy he wants. Just makes me believe he knew who we were getting long before this all started a month ago. 

And Dolson had Pearl and May lined up.   I know people said the Pearl ship sailed, last year or never, and the stuff with his son …. But i do wonder if he’d reconsider?

Not sure, haven't looked in a while, it was like ten years ago I would lurk it. I know the rivals free one is pretty active still.

As others have said, things aren't making a lot of sense right now. Scott is still doing his due diligence, but why has all the information suddenly stopped flowing? Maybe I'm delusional or it's just wishful thinking, but I think things aren't making much sense right now for a reason. Scott has been conducting this search for over a year now, IMO.

Do I think Brownell ultimately gets the job? No. But he’s more than a non-zero candidate.

I get your point. I just don’t believe that anything has moved past candidate number 1 yet based on what I’ve heard the last 48 hours. So in my mind I don’t think anyone is a real candidate until that happens
