Hornsby Posted March 11 Posted March 11 The worst part about hiring Brownell is hearing Mediocre Mike telling is "I told you so".Woodson would be laughing hard if we hired ole-what’s-eez-name. But hey in four years when we are doing this again maybe we can fire back up the stevens to iu talk. 9 years at 90 million.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

There are extreme cases — a guy who gets a huge buyout in a contract extension is probably out, for example — but I’m thinking of Otz specifically here and it applies to others too. ....as well as continued fluidity.... or madness! lol
moyemayhem Posted March 11 Posted March 11 If it's Brownell then just give Woody another year, and let's try again next year. I'd much prefer 1 more year of Woody with some hope for next year, than being subjected to 4 years of Brownell. Kentuckysucks, Indiana8585 and Artie86 2 1

IUBtown Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Feel like after the Beard test the other day, IU started sending planes and sending out the names of McCollum and Brownell to get people back on the beard train. Nothing changes someone's stance on DV like losing. Home Jersey and BA47591 1 1

There’s an implicit “for now” there, not just with Otz, but with any of these guys. We’re not privy to what might change that for Otz, or Drew, etc. thebigweave 1

That would mean that Dolson would have definitely missed on his top targets. Or he would've used some very odd criteria to choose IU's next coach, and tournament success wouldn't have been one of the chief criteria...
