He has to much respect for NBA lifers, coaches, and for the Celtics organization to do so. If Brad accepted the job a week ago and it’s made public, this does nothing but distract the current team/coaches at Indiana. Who said anything about making it public?

I’d prefer someone a bit younger personally. My worry with him is his time with Iowa State: Straight from Wikipedia: "McDermott was the Cyclones' head coach for four seasons between 2007 and 2010, and during his tenure led them to an overall record of 59 wins and 68 losses (59–68).[7] His marquee victory at Iowa State came on March 6, 2010, against No. 5 Kansas State. This was his only victory over a ranked team while with the Cyclones." str8baller 1

Having said that, he isn't 1 of the 5 names i heard about yesterday. Since there he has turned Creighton into a top tier big East program. He leads a program that averages more fans then IU does and has competed in a conference that has produced multiple national champions. School might be small however the basketball program is a power 5 program. Coaches learn from past mistakes and I think he would win big at IU HoosierHoopster, Muskie plays the four, JustWinBaby and 4 others 7

JPCIVOP Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Alright, fellas; about 32 pages so far today. Pretty good work. Gotta keep it cracking if we're to make it to 2,000 that we need for Brad Stevens to become our coach! JustWinBaby, Hoosierfanyuh, rayl456 and 1 other 4
JSHoosier Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I'd just like to not be disappointed with the coaching hire, after the last 2 that should be a pretty low bar. I say that knowing Indiana's last 25 years says they'll just grab a shovel. Hornsby 1
