Hornsby Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Isaac may have some connections, others have said he posted last year that Buckner had the votes to keep Woodson before the release came out. I think he jumped the shark on his posts about the coaching search though. That wasn't really a stretch though most everyone knew they would give a former player four years. No one believes that he wanted to come but the family said no. That’s a fairy tale. I don’t doubt that the family didn’t want to move. That’s the only part that’s accurate. Tracy has been very openly supportive of him taking new challenges. If he really wanted it, she would have supported him. sixseis, BGleas, FWA-EVV and 5 others 6 1 1

All you need to know about them: "Danny Ainge went to Brad Stevens and he said, 'Hey, you know, I want you to coach the Celtics. I've always been a big fan of yours,'" Holley told host Chris Forsberg. "Brad talks to Tracy and says, 'Oh man, this is great. Wow, the Boston Celtics! This is great, but no.' He turned him down. He turned it down initially." . "So (Tracy) went to Brad and -- this is like poetry. She said, 'You'll never be as good as you can unless you're uncomfortable.' Like, hey -- 'We love Butler, Butler's been great to us. We got a lifetime contract here, but you know what? You got to push yourself. Go to the NBA. Do it.' If new challenges and being uncomfortable is what it’s all about then it’s time for a new challenge and going to IU because he’s already accomplished the top goal in Boston. Others have shared Woj's report, but i haven't seen (doesn't mean is doesn't exist) any other original reporting that IU made an offer. Even Woj's report said IU was "prepared" to offer Stevens. Stevens has denied that offer happening. So just because only one NBA insider that you know of (and a pretty damn big one) stated it, that doesn't go against your narrative how? And doesn't it seem strange that the EXACT number and years that Woj gave matched what had been said in this forum months prior? The vast majority of material that is getting released by 'insiders' is getting leaked on purpose from someone that wants the info to leak out. Notice that the Luka trade caught everyone off guard.....why is that? If we delve into the college game....why was it that no one in the media released the issue with Ballo skipping town? Sports media -- or at least ones that you could trust -- have a different standard than Joe Schmoe on a message board has to give information. It's part of the reason that Trilly Donovan releases so much good info....he's behind a persona. lillurk, HoosierInParadise, thebigweave and 1 other 4

This time, I don't think he's coming, and I think the signs are all pointing that he isn't. But with that said, I think the Celtics ownership situation does potentially change things, maybe the chance to coach his son too. Also with the Luka trade, anything is possible at this point. I'm a Celtics fan and an IU fan, so either way I get Brad Stevens leading my favorite team (college or NBA) MemphisHoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart, moyemayhem and 15 others 18
