He’s been excellent in a front office role but in college that’s a much simpler job than in the NBA. If you can here BS and he’s willing to coach, he’s the coach.

I’m in the full belief that it’s Stevens. Just too quiet which makes me believe Scott Dolson did his search long ago. Typically something is leaked. Prior to Hubert Davis being hired, there were multiple hints of who got interviewed etc. Manly because some friends or family of a perspective candidate would talk (out of our control).  

The fact that even trusted people within IU are keeping quiet tells me that there is a specific timing thing that needs to be respected.

Yes.  A few pages back.  Very interesting — as other posters noted could be a GM role for him and he is likely in the loop with our next coach.

That’s where my brain wandered to.

If IU didn’t have a coach, why would Dolson say they are creating a GM role to work with the HC next year.assuming he’d be okay with it (though most probably would be). Why would zellers name be rumored to be in position for that if we didn’t know who HC was. Why would Zeller be at HS game “scouting” Jonathan Sanderson. Do we know someone who might be a candidate for IU HC that also was a person the recruited Zeller? Coincidences? Does Dolson actually have his guy already? Kent thinks so.

Or maybe he’s doing coordinated scouting for a guy who recruited him to Butler which was all set up by a boys trip to the Breaking Bad set.

And now’s it’s derailed far worse. That talk comes and goes and this thread hasn’t had too much of the talk. It’s been very minor and generally never derailed the thread like you are doing now. Let’s move along to 1. Wishing for Stevens 2. Arguing about Beard, Cronin and others. 3. Missing May and all the other stuff that applies.
