I would much rather risk a young and unproven coach than go this route but I do think there’s evidence that this is a route that appeals to Dolson. 

Thad Matta was 10 times the coach Mark Turgeon was.  He's lost his fastball now, but you can't even compare the 2.

I'm also on the east coast so loosely affiliated with Patrick Ewing. He is in serious contention as well. If you think about it, it makes sense at a high level - Dolson likes former Knicks players with NBA coaching experience. It's been done before.

I agree! I would have been happy with Matta as the post-Archie hire, though it seems it wouldn’t have worked out. I have no info either. I’m just saying that sometimes I worry Dolson overrates longevity and experience. 
 

There’s no defending the idea of hiring Pat Fitzgerald for instance.

FWIW, I have what could at best be described at loose connections, and they’ve also heard nothing. I knew we had $6m+ for NIL as a reference for knowledge last offseason.

That said, it’s far more fun to say Brad Stevens until he goes on camera himself and says no.
