Not really.....he specifically used the term “zeroed in on”.  Again, that’s not something you do without contact from the guy heading the search.

Or that's additional commentary so his tweet gains more traction.

Wouldn’t these leaks make you skeptical of who you’re working with if you’re Dolson? Since very few people know anything, you’d have to know it’s someone in that small circle. Unless the leak is Dolson himself which would be an ultimate curveball.

I dislike Doyel the way most of you all dislike Dakich.  For the record, I like Dakich. For the record, I’d like to kick Doyel in the shin.

Both are clowns that pander to opposite sides

Doyle has reported that Dolson is using back channels to contact candidates so that he maintains plausible deniability. Goodman said IU zeroed in on Holtmann, Rabjohns said Dolson didn't talk to Holtmann. So it is entirely plausible, and perhaps even likely, that IU reached out through some intermediary, but is now trying to use the Dolson didn't talk to him line to cover its tracks.

Zeroed in is probably the wrong word to use but should say reached out

We just need somebody with that certain type of “je ne sais quoi” and the only one I see in this is Oats.

I’m not a win at all cost guy, so i could see going the cheaper route with an up and commer like Dane Fife etc....  The hardest part IMO for SD is detecting that certain something that eventual great coaches have.

I would have to think that the leaks are coming from the other side of each contact. Holtmann has everything to gain from this becoming public. He enhances his own reputation and hurts a conference rival.

Indiana won’t win with an up and comer. When has that worked in the B1G at the level Indiana is wanting?

Make a statement hire!  Take no prisoners!  Knock 2-3 straight recruiting classes out of the park.  Win.  Don’t lose momentum. That’s the recipe.

Goodman knew what he was doing, which was to make it look like IU had picked their guy and was embarassingly turned down when they likely wasn’t what he heard.....so now he backtracks and says it wasn’t Dolson talking.  That isn’t zeroing in.

Adding Holtmann to my list, of drill them by 20, then give them the “Oats” treatment post game. GTFOH!

B1G list

Izzo, Underwood, Holtmann, and maybe Juwan if he keeps recruiting the way I want Indiana to recruit (petty).
