Friends!!! We are focused on the wrong things!!!!

HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POST YOU'LL SEE ALL NIGHT (if your goal is to relax and enjoy your Friday night)

Look at Holtman's buyout. I hope the rumor is true. That means we're swimming in the deep end. Exactly where we need to be.

Do you know of anyone else who has a $12M buyout that many of us would be pretty stinking excited about????

If Holtman rumors are true is PROVES money is not an issue and Dolson WILL land a premium target.

Which one remains to be seen.

PS. my apologies if this has already been posted, it's very hard to keep up!!!

IU and our fanbase is getting absolutely trashed by the national media. I’m having a hard time finding a precedent for any program at any point in time. What the **** do they really have against IU? It is pretty clear that these people have an axe to grind. I really hope that some coach stands up for us all and gives us the ability to shove it right up these dorks *****.

They know we’re insane, and we give them clicks and retweets/comments.  That’s how they get paid.

You are barely older than me and I grew up in Indiana as a die hard fan.  The difference between the fans then and the fans now is one group was cheering for a guy that won a Championship and went to the Final Four every 4 or 5 years and the current fans are rooting for a team that goes to the tournament itself about once every 4 years.
There are stories about IU fans throwing trash at the Purdue bus on the way out of town and things like that from the past.  There is just a whole bunch more opportunity for the fan base to show its @$$ now.

I’m 32. My first memories are sitting in a basement watching the mid to late 90s teams with my dad. Guyton, Patterson etc. my favorite team of all time is the 2001-2002 team. Loved every guy on that team. Outside of that run I haven’t seen any success other than random short runs. But I cheer my @$$ off and scream at the tv every night. My best friend has 3 young boys that can tell you the name and number of every player on the team. I think the older generation (not directed at you guys have no idea how old you are, just in general) I think they under estimate how much the younger generation and future generations are just as passionate. When people say it’s Indiana Basketball, it is. It’s not Bobby Knight basketball, it’s not 5 banner basketball. It’s the state of Indiana and how much meaning the sport holds to us, and we all want it to be successful no matter what era we grew up in. We want to win, we want to be proud of the flagship program that reflects our passion.

Granted I was a year old when RMK was hired, but I thought I've read that IU fans weren't initially happy because they were used to the "Hurryin Hoosiers" type of ball and RMK slowed it down with his motion offense.. but when the wins came and championships won, the man was a genius according to fans- so fit is less important than success.. Just Win Baby!

Yup. IMO he was a personality fit though. Regardless, winning will make folks overlook almost anything. He'll always be my favorite, that's for sure.

Katz also said on Gottleib we've contacted Musselman and brought up the IU former players so he has no clue besides what everybody else has said.  I also believe we're going after one of these and that's why we just need to be patient. If we fail to get one then we go to the backups we have been in contact with not currently in the tourney.  I think he is trying hard for Oats. To be waiting we have to be getting feedback from their agent we're interested. If we make a push for big money they will either take our offer or get a raise at their current job. We need to get lucky one time.

Oats

Musselman

Why do you think they have anything against us because we can be our own worse enemies.  I know one reason Goodman trolls us because he said the other day on his podcast that tweets from IU fans are the worse he has seen. If you watch Aseembly Call and no who coach Tonsoni is you know he does bracketology with his high school students.  He even said on something so minor the IU fan base rips them more than any fan base from comments

Wow something  on social media or the internet is not true, who would have known.  If this fan base would just wait and be patient and not go nuts on every little post these media guys would stop trolling this fan base.

I hope this doesn't go as long as the search UCLA did last time when it went 100 days before they hired Cronin

Although, UCLA being able to hire someone the caliber of Cronin after 100 days, and Cronin being able to immediately get 2 decent season at UCLA does indicate that its not the end of the world if IU's search goes longer than people want

So 2 guys who cite unidentified sources are to be accepted at full face value?  Good grief, sources could be a plumber unclogging their toilets because they're both so full of excrement.  They're both after clicks and citing "sources" is an easy way to get them because you have the perfect out when your "source" proves to be wrong.  My "source" tells me Dolson thinks Goodman and Doyel are both hacks.

This where it gets interesting.   Rabbys new tweet says Dolson didn’t pursue Holtmann.   He confirmed someone from IU contacted him.   Meaning someone working for Dolson reached out but since it’s wasn’t Dolson he can deny he reached out.    I said Dolson had a tough decision earlier when he had to chose to fire Archie seems it’s going to get tougher before it gets better

The media has hated us since Knight, I’m only 35 but I think you know what I mean by incidents, LSU fan, Puerto Rican Cop, Saying the media is two steps above prostitution, telling Connie Chung to lay back and enjoy (rape) if it’s inevitable etc etc. Coach Knight will be my all time favorite for a lot of reasons, some personal that were touching and kind but the national media couldn’t stand him and the way he kept winning. So now when we’ve been down most are just looking for revenge and want to shame the whole fan base because of bad jokes or past incidents and now have the ammunition.
