Assuming Brownell is getting that extension, math says it's McCollum or somebody surprising which is what most of us have thought. Would love to see Collins at Villanova to see what he is made of with a legit chance. thebigweave, PartyintheVillas, Ryno6284 and 2 others 5
Hornsby Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Would try to keep it tight lipped no matter who it is I’d assume. Hopefully Dolson can beat out Iowa for likely the best coaching prospect available this cycle. If he doesn’t and we get someone very uninspiring, lolMccullum is very uninspiring to me. I get it you love him but we all don't. Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk Home Jersey, pumpfake and Hoosier987 3

The ending was really awkward when he was talking about the Indiana job. He did a pretty good job of talking around the subject. Worth a listen if you get a chance. I thought it was great. He just sounds like a winner. Answered questions I had about his pace of play basically saying he maximized the hand he was dealt this year with no athleticism. Played the style of ball that would help his team win the most games. A guy that makes actual adjustments. He’s not my top choice but if he’s the hire then I feel good about the future. mdn82 1
HoosierFan1994 Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Love that Osterman says no journalist knows anything. It would be him if anyone would. IMO that is how it should be. I don't think it's a good thing when there is news of too many leaks in a coaching search. ceast11, JustWinBaby, joegold0311 and 1 other 4
Popular Post JimmerNoe Posted March 17, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2025 As much as I don’t love Dakich I realllly liked that McCollum interview man. That guy sounds like he just gets it from a program building standpoint and his X’s and O’s have been discussed plenty. I think we would be pretty good year 1 and then mostly upward trajectory from there as he installed his culture. BtownStrength, SlammySammy, Mopladysman and 10 others 13

ziggyiu Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 I'm not inclined to support the idea of McCollum as head coach. While he may be a great tactician, there is so much more to the IU job in particular and high-major college basketball in general that he has no experience with. And I am more interested in the number of possible candidates who have proven he can handle all the other responsibilities that are part of running a successful high-major program. McCollum could be great, but I'm not excited about IU being his testing ground. Chris007 and pumpfake 2
Scotty R Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 I haven't caught up but what happened on here the last couple of hours that got people back to being doom and gloom agy. This board is so bi polar and getting ridiculous

I think they are genuinely hearing it and are posting it genuinely. Now sometimes it third/fourth/fifth hand information and maybe its get twisted or stretched along the way. That is where i would say be cautiously optimistic. But at that point, that falls on each person on whether to believe it or not. Long story short, i don't think they are trolling us for laughs. I’ve spoken with both of them quite a bit during this search both have shared info and sources with me. I totally believe they have posted what they were hearing at the time because I was hearing the same thing. It’s sad the get crapped on though. thebigweave, cleeter, GP711 and 6 others 8 1

Hornsby Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Tempo and never being a part of a power program. Cig had experience with Saban at Alabama and a few other places. I'm not against McCollum but I'm far from convinced he's the next great championship winning coach. If he is honestly as great as some on here claim I fully expect him to be playing in the second weekend of the tournament. Can't wait to watch this coaching savant on Thursday. I am expecting to be in complete amazement of his coaching abilities after what I have read.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk
