I feel the same way in the comparison to Cig. Mccollum hasn't finished lower than 1st in a conference in over a decade. The tempo is a point of concern, on DD's show this morning McCollum stated he likes his teams to shoot more 3s than what they have this year but he just doesn't have the right personnel for it. How do you guys like that; he identified his team's strength/weakness and implemented a change in style to get them to play at their highest level of execution possible. That's a positive to me. Regardless, against 3 P5 teams this year he scored 76+ on all (80+ twice). 

It's either hire McCollum or watch him win B10 titles (ala Dusty May) at Iowa for the next decade or two.

The search has worn on me. We all just want to know already. I appreciate posters with a track record sharing what they hear and having a conversation. I’ve got no patience for new accounts peddling fanciful rumors that don’t pan out continuing to string people along. Maybe it’s because I’m from New Jersey and don’t know how to act when I smell bull****

But those "posters with a track record" had to start with their first post, their first piece of info, etc. too...

BTB and GP get upset when you don’t believe them. They are much closer to Isaac than Chris or Jerry. But I’ll stop interrupting everyone’s fun, lol. Back to the AI slop of Stevens and undertaker gifs.

The Ben McCollum interview with DD was pretty good.  The ending was really awkward when he was talking about the Indiana job.  He did a pretty good job of talking around the subject.   Worth a listen if you get a chance.

These guys have already been wrong / flip flopped several times. Coaching searches are very tough to be plugged in on. At best everyone is sharing their best guess IMO.

To me you just hire McCollum and call it a day. He is the most impressive of the realistic candidates and would take him over the other realistic candidates.

Chatter on other 247 boards suggesting Collins to Villanova and Devries to Iowa. Would be two dominoes to fall. Assuming Brownell is getting that extension, math says it's McCollum or somebody surprising which is what most of us have thought.

I wont tell anyone what to believe, but me personally, i don't think the people i mentioned are coming in here and actually making stuff up and being trolls like Isaac is. I think they are genuinely hearing it and are posting it genuinely. Now sometimes it third/fourth/fifth hand information and maybe its get twisted or stretched along the way. That is where i would say be cautiously optimistic. But at that point, that falls on each person on whether to believe it or not. Long story short, i don't think they are trolling us for laughs.
