I find it odd that there is “smoke” but not a consensus on who the big fish is. Which means it could be anyone. I won’t get my hopes up and just wait to see who it is.

Think yall are way overthinking this. They can’t and won’t say it’s definitively Stevens.

Who else would be a home run hire that isn’t currently coaching? Cmon.

I have gotten some credible information that it won’t be Stevens.

How’s that for a post with clarity?  :)

I won’t reveal my source but I will say it’s not from the IU side.

Yea, Stevens has a very cushy job, if he does go back into coaching, it would probably be in the NBA.

Stevens, Donovan, Wright would all be grand slam hires. Plus if its any of those three it proves that IU CAN pull someone from the NBA or cushy TV job...

This is where I'm at. Would be thrilled with Brad, but at this point, it should either be a done deal or not. So I'm waiting for an announcement, not smoke.

Drew and Otz should make the fanbase ecstatic. McCollum at least means we’re willing to take risks to get back to an elite level.

Once we get to Brownell and Collins, the upside case is tough to sell imo.

100% agree, that’s why I didn’t name Brownell or Collins, because that would be very bad

They would’nt be invited anyways. They have to be top 2 remaining teams in NET rankings and they are third. Plus a new coach will not coach a group of 6 players he doesn’t know just to play in a tourney that means nothing. I don’t buy it

But NW is 1st and Collins has already said they will not participate in post-season play. We could/should do the same if approached.

If StooHoo says it, I believe it! Now share who it will be.

Actually think that college with NIL has potential to be a much cushier job than NBA coach.

Thank you. Was never, ever likely.

That said, I have supreme confidence in Dolson.
Lloyd, Few, or McDermott wouldn’t surprise me. After that give me Will Wade or McCollum over someone like Cronin.

No offense, but you repeatedly get worked up about scenarios that haven't happened.  Save the angst for if and when it happens.

Also, this faux outrage and wonderment over why Ainu would not pick Wade is amazing…the ******* guy was part of an BFBI sting….he is willing to do things that are against the rules….ans he sounds like a POS based on those calls……If he was already passed over by Louisville and Kentucky, why do we need him? They might be our rivals but they have smart people involved in their program as well, I’m sure….i would love to see McCollum but I get the argument against, just feel like there is a huge upside and potential 20 ye guy there…some don’t….ok…but to act like IU is full of dolts if they choose him is off base….
