100%. And there was no worse conventional wisdom in the basketball media last year than the idea that MSU wasn’t really gonna miss Cassius Winston because of the presence of Rocket Watts.

I only know things that are public knowledge, but am not sure why he didn't fit......6'8", can shoot from the perimeter.   I know that there was some things that we weren't privy to which lead to him being briefly benched under Miller.

That's four player now that have transferred from Michigan State...and that doesn't include the two players who had committed to MSU that dropped their committments.  Only have added one transfer in, a pretty good point guard from Northeastern who averaged 19 points and 5 assists.

Have to say that Izzo has been getting his share of misses on recruits lately.

Almost didn't work on Aaron Henry.  Rumors appeared more than once about him thinking about transferring.

Izzo's tough love is a facade, IMO......if you can really play, he turns a blind eye.  Wasn't that long ago when Payne and Dawson got into a fight at the team hotel that ended with a busted wall and their punishment was 'not getting to start the game that night'.

Just an off the wall comment but maybe Dane Fife was the glue that helped hold things together for Izzo possibly serving as a buffer for the players.

For those who don't know, Keith Appling was arrested Monday night for the fatal shooting of a 66 year old man west of Detroit.

I wonder how much of that contributed to Dane Fife wanting to get out of there. I'm hoping a lot. I don't want to think that we hired someone who was OK with what was going on in that athletic department. For the record, I don't think we did. Time will tell.

I don’t think it contributed at all. The only reason Fife left was because it was Indiana. The sexual assault issues were several years ago at this point and Fife hadn't gone anywhere.
